The Old Farmhouse is a light and spacious five-bedroom holiday home dating back to the 15th century, sleeping eight adults comfortably. This beautiful, thatched, Grade II listed cottage has an idyllic country setting with a large garden and two acres of private land. Three Moors View is a spacious, contemporary five bedroom holiday home. It’s based outside the picturesque village Iddesleigh with views to Dartmoor, Exmoor and Bodmin Moors, as well as the private 96 acres of organic land. The house occupies a wonderful elevated position set in a private and quiet location. It has two zip and link super kingsize bedrooms, a kingsize bedroom, double bedroom and a single bedroom located on the first floor. The master bedroom has a large dressing area and an en-suite shower room. Downstairs, there is a large living room with a conservatory attached to the side, a spacious hallway by the front door, a dining room, a large kitchen, utility and a downstairs toilet.
The village of Iddesleigh is well known for its popular public house, while the surrounding countryside is well known for its association with Michael Morpurgo’s book and subsequent film ‘War Horse’. The tourist attraction War Horse Valley Country Farm Park is just a 5 minute drive away, where visitors can enjoy a cream tea, a tractor and trailer ride, explore the museum, a farm trail and meet the friendly animals.
Four miles away the larger community of Winkleigh has an excellent range of facilities including a village store, post office, butchers, two public houses and a petrol station. A wider range of services and facilities are available in the nearby market town of Hatherleigh. Whilst Okehamapton, only 12 miles away, is known as the Gateway to Dartmoor and has a supermarket and numerous interesting boutiques and restaurants. Beach 21 miles. Lemon Cottage is a fantastic 2021 refurbished self-catering holiday property nearby to the owner’s property, in the village of Bickington. Bickington is a village and civil parish in the Teignbridge district of Devon, England, on the east edge of the Dartmoor National Park. The village is about five miles west of Newton Abbot, on the River Lemon. The cottage is also just a 5-minute drive away from the nearby town of Ashburton, with its fantastic local antique shops, restaurants & bakery. In addition, Lemon Cottage is a 10-minute drive from Dartmoor and the famous Haytor Rock, a great day out for walking/hiking with a picnic and taking in the natural beauty and wildlife.

As you enter Lemon Cottage, there is a handy area for your coats and shoes along with dog beds for those four-legged friends. There is also a wet room by the front door, perfect for rinsing down after a day on the beach, or cleaning up mucky paws. Through the entrance hallway and into the fitted kitchen with breakfast bar overlooking the living/dining area. The living/dining area benefits from a cosy wood-burner to sit in front of playing board games, and has French doors which open out onto the rear garden. The rear garden is mainly lawned, but also has a small patio area, partially under cover with seating to enjoy a glass of wine in the evening or a fresh morning coffee. The rear garden boasts a hot tub, absolutely perfect for unwinding after a long day!

The first floor of Lemon Cottage is where the main bathroom is located, with bath & shower over as well as large double sink. Next to the bathroom is a double bedroom. For those wishing to sample the local food, plenty of pubs and restaurants can be found in Instow and the speciality is seafood, of course.
The famous ‘Tarka Trail’, just on the doorstep, is perfect for walkers and cyclists and follows the estuary towards Braunton and is a lovely way to experience the delights that this area has to offer. On the opposite side of the estuary is Appledore, a pretty unspoilt village with a wealth of painted fishermen’s cottages, found up narrow winding streets, some of which date back as far as 1335. Famous for its maritime history and arts there is a maritime museum and numerous arts and crafts shops. Just a short drive away, visitors will find a substantial and popular surfing beach and golf courses at famous Westward Ho! Within 2 miles is Bideford with its historic port and lively market as well as regular boat trips to nearby Lundy Island.
