Everton is a spacious, stone-built, semi-detached cottage in the heart of the Peak District National Park. Positioned just a short walk from Bakewell town centre with many pubs, restaurants, coffee shops, and directly opposite the Bakewell recreation ground. Bakewell itself is an attractive market town, and the historic stately homes of Chatsworth House and Estate and medieval Haddon Hall can be reached in around 10 minutes’. The traffic-free Monsal Trail, ideal for walking, cycling and horse riding, starts in Bakewell and will take you to just outside Buxton. The beautiful Hope Valley, Matlock, with its cable car to the Heights of Abraham, and Ashbourne can all be reached in under half an hour.

The oldest part of the cottage dates from 1800 and has been converted skilfully into a living room with tasteful furnishings, original beams, exposed stone walls and a large fireplace with a multi-fuel burner. There is a large dining area adjacent to the living room and a kitchen which leads into a south-facing conservatory, ideal for breakfast and relaxing. There is a downstairs toilet and utility area. Upstairs has three large double bedrooms (two with en-suite showers) and a bathroom. One of the bedrooms has a 6ft zip and link bed which can be used as a double bed or two single beds. The cottage has Sky TV and wi-fi internet access. Only a few steps from the main cottage is a games room and studio apartment. The village is within easy reach of Bakewell and Ashford-on-the-Water, and is an excellent starting point for walking, exploring the countryside and visiting Chatsworth, Haddon Hall, The Heights of Abraham in Matlock Bath, the caves around Castleton and many other attractions in the Peak District. Bee Keepers Cottage is located on a working farm on the edge of Derbyshire’s Peak District, the cottage overlooks the 18 hole golf course at Shirland Golf and country club where visitors day passes are available.

The cottage has beautiful rural views and offers guests the peace and quiet of rural living yet within easy access of local attractions and transport networks, and there is a golf course boarding the property’s grounds and miles of footpath networks adjacent to the farm.

The accommodation at Bee Keepers cottage is spaced over a single storey and offers light, bright accommodation with beautiful gardens and views of the rolling Derbyshire countryside.

Chatsworth House, Hardwick Hall and Crich tramway museum are a short drive away. Local towns include Matlock, Bakewell and Chesterfield. Derby and Nottinghamshire are a 20-minute drive.

The location is popular with walkers who enjoy the beautiful walks and trails straight from the doorstep.

All accommodation is on the ground floor. The Large modern kitchen/dining area to seat 6 and opens out onto the living area with Smart TV. The kitchen has an electric eye level oven, built in microwave, induction hob, fridge/ freezer, dishwasher and washing machine.

Two bedrooms have king size beds, and the third a single bed, and there is a family bathroom with bath and shower above – there is also an additional shower room with quadrant shower cubicle, toilet and basin.

Outside there are two seating areas, a BBQ, gardens and plenty of off-road parking.

Guests are welcome to visit the horses in the barn next to the property (prior arrangement with the owner), please supervise children for their safety.
