    West Yardley (UK31200) accommodates up to 11 guests. On the ground floor is a bedroom for two people, with a large shower. On the first floor are a family bathroom and a further three bedrooms, one of which boasts a private balcony, tea making facilities and an en-suite shower room. The open plan living space features a good-sized kitchen area and a living area with a sofa bed.
    The property features a private terrace accessed from the living area, offering marvellous sea views. Outside, there is a direct beach frontage and the properties are privately situated in established gardens, commanding an outstanding 180-degree panorama over the waters. Outside in the beautiful gardens the house has its own garden furniture with a barbecue, perfect for summer evenings. There is storage available for bikes or beach equipment, and an outside shower and dog washing station. The local pub serves up St Austell ales and good pub grub.
    Above Portscatho lies the village of Gerrans, only a 5-minute walk up the hill. The mediaeval church, that stands opposite, has served as an invaluable landmark to generations of local fishermen. Take the cliff path north out of Portscatho and in under 20 minutes you’ll be standing on the beautiful Porthcurnick beach. At low tide Porthcurnick has acres of flat sand perfect for games of cricket, but you might have to wade out a bit to get a decent swim! Further east still are Carne beach and Pendower beach which at low tide join to form an even bigger expanse of sand where dogs are allowed all year round. Beach 150 yards.

    You are spoilt for a choice of beaches here; Harlyn Bay Beach, just 3 miles away, offers a broad expanse of golden sand stretching far before you. Trevose Headland offers spectacular vistas, whilst further beaches at Treyarnon Bay and beautiful Porthcothan Beach are just a short drive away, with rock pools for all ages to explore! Visit Padstow, with its fabulous seafood restaurants, busy quayside and narrow streets, or vibrant Newquay, with its plethora of vibrant bars and restaurants, and scintillating surfing and water sports activities.

    Away from the coast, Camel Valley Theme Park, the world-renowned Eden Project and Lost Gardens of Heligan all offer fun days out, whilst Bodmin Moor is an atmospheric place, with mysterious rock formations and views as far as the eye can see.     Within 8 miles is Tintagel which is inextricably linked to the legend of King Arthur and is steeped in history. A visit to the English Heritage site of Tintagel Castle, where legend and historical fact alike meet stunning scenery, is a definite must while in the area and for Arthurian enthusiasts it is unmissable! There are many beaches in the area for surfers and sunseekers alike including Trebarwith and Bossiney Cove. Much of the North Cornish coastline is owned by the National Trust and is a haven for wildlife, providing fabulous walking opportunities with many well-trodden routes. There are many pretty coves and inlets to discover along this coastline including Crackington Haven, Boscastle, Morwenstow.

    A bit further to the south is the fishing port of Padstow and quaint Port Isaac of Doc Martin fame and 16 miles to the north is the fabulous coastal town of Bude. If you fancy crossing over the ‘border’ into Devon and enjoy open spaces then Dartmoor National Park is 27 miles or so to the east – here you can enjoy a day of walking and discover the vast moorland and roam the craggy landscape, defined by forests, rivers, wetlands and rock formations or tors. Or search the Neolithic tombs, Bronze Age stone circles and abandoned medieval farmhouses in this amazing landscape!
