Perfectly located in Menston, just outside of the picturesque market town Ilkley, Brookleigh Farm Cottage provides beautifully presented luxury accommodation combined with charm and character. Nestled at the bottom of a tree-lined country lane, guests may spot racehorses, who are trained nearby, while relaxing in the pretty private garden. Inside, the cottage has been lovingly refurbished to an extremely high standard with vintage wooden and porcelain flooring throughout.
Situated on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park and Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this a perfect retreat for walkers, cyclists and ramblers, with plenty of walks, cycle paths, bridleways and established footpaths into picturesque countryside. Dating back to Roman times, Menston is on the ancient Roman Road that linked York with the garrison at Ribchester. Nowadays you will find the village dotted with a selection of local shops and country pub. Nearby you will find the picturesque market town of Ilkley with an abundance of restaurants, pubs, pavement cafés and independent shops that can all be easily reached; as can legendary Bettys Cafe Tea Rooms where afternoon tea is a must. Harewood House, just 15 minutes away, is a fantastic day out offering impressive art collections, a magnificent rare bird garden and 100 acres of exquisite gardens to explore. For Emmerdale fans, you’ll also find the Set deep within the grounds of the estate.
Bolton Abbey can be reached in around a 20-minute drive and offers 30,000 acres of beautiful countryside to explore. The charming market town of Skipton, also 20 minutes away, is home to an ancient castle, cobbled high street and colourful street market. Leeds city centre can be reached in just 20 minutes from the local train station where you can enjoy luxury shopping and sip rooftop cocktails at Harvey Nichols. Haworth village, once home to the Brontë Sisters, is another major tourist attraction in the area and can be reached in around a 30-minute drive. York can be reached in an hour and for those looking further afield, the Lake District National Park is within a 2 hour drive.

The hut is named after ‘Flossy’ the dog that was given to Anne Brontë by the family for whom she served as governess, and is ideally situated, surrounded by fields and countryside views enjoying direct access onto the ‘Pennine Way’ and many famous walks including The Brontë Way, Millennium Way, The Railway Children Trail, Top Withens’ and Brontë Falls.
Inside the hut, you are greeted by an open-plan design oozing luxury adorned with antique treasures incorporating the living space with a cosy log-burner, a comfy kingsize bed with storage and a fully fitted kitchen and dining area. An oak door leads to a family bathroom benefitting from a shower and wall-mounted heated towel rail. While away the evening enjoying freshly cooked pizza on the wood-fired pizza oven, toasting marshmallows on the Kadai firepit or soaking in the beautiful ‘Hikki’ hot tub while stargazing at the night sky with only the comforting sound of sheep or owls calling to break the silence. Be sure to visit the nearby village of Haworth, home of the famous Brontë sisters and the inspiration for many of their famous novels; Haworth is an undisputed literary mecca, attracting visitors from all around the world. With its historic cobbled Main Street, iconic Brontë Parsonage and rolling moors, the picturesque proportions of this Airedale village exude a vintage charm that makes you feel you’ve stepped into another era. There are also a wide variety of quaint eateries and pubs for refuelling before leaving the village and exploring the lonely moors beyond where the Brontë sisters found their inspiration. Further afield, such gems as Malham Cove, Ingleton Waterfalls, or the bustling market town of Skipton await and are sure not to disappoint. The property is set over two levels; you enter the property into the well-presented, well-equipped kitchen which has plenty of room for food preparation. Through from the kitchen is a comfortable living room which has all the home comforts to give that lovely ‘home from home’ feel. Across from the living room is the lovely dining room, a great place to have a home cooked meal or play a board game with the family. To the rear of the property is the stunning garden, with a decked area and lawn for the kids to play on whilst the adults enjoy a well-deserved glass of fizz in the summer months.
With the property situated on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, Brook Cottage is perfectly located for exploring the beautiful local countryside. There are many walks straight from your door and cycling is very popular in the area, why not try a section of the Tour de France route that runs through Keighley and Haworth? For a more relaxing way to explore the area, hop on the Worth Valley Steam Train from Keighley Station, which takes you on a 5-mile journey through the Haworth moors and on to Oxenhope, once home to the Bronte sisters. The village of Haworth, 8 miles, is well worth a visit with its pretty cobbled streets lined with bunting and old-fashioned windows giving you a glimpse of the wares within.
Ilkley is just a short drive from the property meaning you have access to its variety of independent shops, cafés, restaurants, pubs and Tea Rooms. Bolton Abbey is a great place for a family day out, offering plenty of walking within the magnificent 30,000-acre grounds and picture-perfect picnic spots beside the river. The charming market town of Skipton, also known as the ‘Gateway to the Dales’, is 15 minutes away which is home to an ancient castle, cobbled high street and colourful street market. There is also golf nearby and a train station.

Originally three cottages and now one luxury holiday home, Weavers Cottage is ideal for families and friends to enjoy relaxed gatherings or special celebrations. The spacious open plan kitchen/dining/bar area is the heart of the house and perfect for entertaining with the large oak dining table seating up to twelve.
On the first-floor guests will find a master bedroom with kingsize bed, en-suite bathroom with large freestanding bath and also a dressing room with an additional single bed. Along the corridor you will find two further bedrooms and a shared bathroom. The second floor has two bedrooms with vaulted ceilings, galleried chill-out areas with TV and games consoles. One of these bedrooms is made up with twin beds that can be zipped to make a kingsize on request, the other has twin singles. There is also a further bathroom with full bath and shower. The garden will be a firm favourite with guests, with space for children to play and adults to relax. It has its own private hot tub to soak in, timber framed outdoor cooking area with pizza oven and BBQ for al fresco dining. After a scenic walk, leave your boots in the handy boot room, with plenty of hooks for wet coats and towels for muddy paws.
Weavers Cottage is nestled between the idyllic villages of Slaithwaite and Marsden and set back from the picturesque Huddersfield Narrow Canal. Both villages can be easily reached on foot or bicycle along the canal directly from the property. With an easy 20 min walk you can enjoy the numerous café’s, bars and local shops, including some excellent artisan bakeries for that special breakfast treat. Just a short walk through adjacent fields will bring you to the Olive Branch Inn with its relaxed atmosphere, fine dining and outdoor seating to take in the beautiful views. The property is burrowed amidst the National Trust Marsden Moor Estate; guests will be spoilt for choice with more than 5000 acres to explore. Whether you prefer to explore the landscape on foot, by bike or through the lens of a camera there are plenty of things to see and do. The rugged landscape and steep climbs are the perfect challenge for keen mountain bikers, while others might prefer to wander alongside the water’s edge of the canal and retrace ancient packhorse trails to Standedge Tunnel with it’s fascinating Visitor Centre – where you can learn about the longest, highest and deepest canal tunnel in Britain. Marsden Train station can be reached on foot or just a few minutes drive away and offers easy access to Manchester (36mins) and Leeds (45mins) for that Big City vibe.
