    Chatsworth House, Hardwick Hall and Crich tramway museum are a short drive away. Local towns include Matlock, Bakewell and Chesterfield. Derby and Nottinghamshire are a 20-minute drive.

    The location is popular with walkers who enjoy the beautiful walks and trails straight from the doorstep.

    All accommodation is on the ground floor. The Large modern kitchen/dining area to seat 6 and opens out onto the living area with Smart TV. The kitchen has an electric eye level oven, built in microwave, induction hob, fridge/ freezer, dishwasher and washing machine.

    Two bedrooms have king size beds, and the third a single bed, and there is a family bathroom with bath and shower above – there is also an additional shower room with quadrant shower cubicle, toilet and basin.

    Outside there are two seating areas, a BBQ, gardens and plenty of off-road parking.

    Guests are welcome to visit the horses in the barn next to the property (prior arrangement with the owner), please supervise children for their safety.

Another fantastic walk from Tissington is to Dovedale, where the famous Dovedale stepping stones are. Alton Towers is a 25 minute drive which makes a great day out for all the family.     Meadows Huts, Foxglove (UK37639) and Forget-Me-Not (UK37646) are located just outside of the quaint village of Parwich, 5 miles from the nearest town, Ashbourne. This area of the Peak District is fantastic for exploring the countryside. The High Peak trail and the Tissington trail are both within 3 miles of the huts as well as recognised cycle routes. Dovedale is a must to visit whilst in the area, read up on the history of the steppingstones and take the walk yourselves up Thorpe Cloud where you will see breath-taking views well worth the hike. If you are more of a thrill seeker Alton Towers is only a 20-minute drive which makes a fun day out for all the family or take on some water sports at Carsington reservoir.
    After all this enjoy a nice meal in the evening at the local pub. Foxglove and Forget-me-not are two similar shepherds’ huts, both finished to an incredible standard with home comforts in mind. The open plan living space has a double bunk bed allowing space for four guests, a dining area with a TV, there is also Wi-Fi provided and electric radiators.
