Tywyn is surrounded by the Tarren Hills, and holds the 7-mile long Talyllyn Narrow Gauge Steam Railway that runs between Tywyn Wharf and Nant Gwernol. Nearby Tal-y-llyn lake and Talyllyn steam railway are always popular with visitors, as are the sandy beaches along Cardigan Bay. Some visitor attractions include the Centre for Alternative Technology, King Arthur’s Labyrinth, Animalarium, Coed-y-Brenin Forest and Portmeirion Italianate village. Ty Ni is a large modern property with open airy rooms and a sophisticated style. There’s four bedrooms, three of which have en-suites, and a separate family bathroom. The living and dining area have been furnished to ensure your comfort, the ideal social space for everyone to relax in. There’s a large kitchen with double oven, you’ll certainly be fully equipped for cooking up a feast. Through the kitchen there is a utility room, a much needed space for cleaning up after a muddy walk or a day spent down the beach.
Talking of beaches, pack your bucket and spade! There’s miles of idyllic coastline to explore, with picture perfect beaches and dunes you’ll be spoilt for choice. Just down the road you’ll find Harlech home to the imposing UNESCO world heritage site Harlech Castle. Bustling Barmouth is also only a short distance, take a walk along the promenade and indulge in some fish and chips. An iconic feature of the town is Barmouth Bridge, over 150-year-old railway viaduct across the Mawddach Estuary. It is half a mile in length with a wooden promenade suitable for pedestrians or cyclists which now forms part of the Wales Coast Path and the Lon Las Cymru Cycle Network. Nantcol waterfalls are just 5 miles away and offer a great day out, a perfect place for a family picnic whilst playing in the stream. Ty Hir is located close to the beautiful Mawddach Estuary with its coastal trail and cycle path. There is direct access from the farm leading down to the golden sands of Fairbourne beach, great for families with small children or across the Victorian bridge to Barmouth. If you wish you can just relax, enjoy a spot of fishing nearby, or for the more energetic you can enjoy family walks in the idyllic scenery, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in Snowdonia National Park. The family-run pony trekking and equestrian centre on-site is just on the north side of the farm, away from our holiday cottages with menage Hire (arena), riders or complete beginners are catered for. Holiday stabling is available by arrangement should you wish to bring your own horse. Shop, Golf course, pub and restaurant ¾ mile . Cycle trails and Zip World, Bounce Below approx 45 min drive. This superb property, set in the middle of the popular town of Betws-y-Coed is spread over three floors and has a good sized garden with views across the river. With the many mountain walks and cycle tracks in the area, there is plenty to do. Along with the many shops and restaurants there are also golf courses and riding schools locally as well as kayaking and climbing. With many places of interest close by, you can visit the National Trust properties at Bodnant Gardens or the Castle of Conwy as well as Victorian Llandudno. Snowdon itself is close by where you can choose to walk up or get the train to the top from Llanberis. Shop 200 yards, pub 100 yards and restaurant 120 yards.

This is a charming, unspoilt part of beautiful North Wales is a region rich in outdoor action and adventure, from the world’s first inland surfing lagoon-Surf Snowdonia, zip wires at Zip World, high ropes, and cavern trampolines, to the many forest walks, mountain bike trails, hills, lakes and rivers for which the area is rightly famous for. People travel from all over Europe to have a go on Zip World - booking is vital. Join scenic footpaths straight from your doorstep, go onwards and upwards from the cottage and you’ll come to two lovely, little-visited lakes, Llyn Geirionydd and Llyn Crafnant. Trefriw has a vibrant heart, so expect a friendly welcome at the post office/shop, the award-winning butchers, the fantastic working woollen mill, in the two pubs, and in the brasserie and local café. Trefriw is blessed with two of the most spectacular lakes (Geirionydd and Crafnant). Both lakes lie in the most stunning surroundings and offer different facilities. Geirionydd offers watersports for everyone (paddle and powerboating) whilst Crafnant is a much more peaceful environment. The community lead project Trefriw Trails has 8 waymarked trails which are suited to all ages and abilities for walking and cycling.

The barn is situated in the grounds of a small farm, and is an ideal holiday base close to the mountains of Snowdonia. Tan Rallt Barn has plenty of space for eight people and can accommodate climbing and walking groups coming into the Snowdonia National Park. It’s a great location for outdoor enthusiasts being close to the Ogwen Valley and Zip World - the longest zipwire in the northern hemisphere, and just a short drive from Llanberis and Snowdon, with its famous mountain railway. You’ll find Penrhyn Castle (NT) just down the road, whilst Caernarfon, with its impressive castle, the Isle of Anglesey with 125 miles of coastline, Capel Curig and Betws-y-Coed are all close by. The GreenWood Forest Park at Y Felinheli, Yr Hwylfan (The Fun Centre) at Caernarfon and Electric Mountain at Llanberis are all well worth a visit. Shop 0.5 miles, pub and restaurant 3 miles. Plas Gwyn is a spacious property perfect for friends and families getting together. There is a large living room with comfy sofas and lovely views over the river. The dining room has a table with ample space for everyone to take a seat and enjoy an evening meal or a chat about the day. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you will need for your stay. For anyone wanting a quiet spot to read a book away from the rest of the family, there’s a snug sun room overlooking the rear garden. To the rear of the property there is a stepped garden area with stunning views over Aberglaslyn valley, a lovely peaceful space to relax in the picturesque village of Beddgelert which has an abundance of walks surrounded by impressive scenery. The village itself is steeped in history and folk lore. Sygun copper mine is just down the road and is well worth a visit for all ages. The area is considered the adventure capital of Wales and there are an abundance of opportunities for climbing, hiking, walking, cycling and water sports available. You can also ride a steam train on the Welsh Highland Railway to Caernarfon and nearby Porthmadog.

Dating back to the 1800s, this tastefully decorated, terraced property is located near the centre of Beddgelert, a popular village in the heart of the Snowdonia National Park. This holiday property features a lovely open fire in the living room, with a further wood burner in the dining room/kitchen. There is a unique cliff-type garden with a flight of steps up to the small seating area above the house, from which to admire the view of the River Glaslyn and the surrounding mountains. Beddgelert has much to offer the visitor, including the famous legend of the faithful hound Gelert. You can ride a steam train on the Welsh Highland Railway to Caernarfon. There are excellent walks in the area and beaches are just a short drive away. Shops, restaurant and pubs ¼ mile.
