At the heart of the Lizard stands a 13th-century church, famous for its ornate woodwork decorating the end of each pew and depicting scenes from the Old and New Testament. Kynance Cove is a tidal beach for the adventurous, famous for its white sand, turquoise sea and rock stacks. Poldhu Cove, also known as Black Pool Cove, is a lovely west-facing sandy beach suitable for lots of fun activities, from building sandcastles to beach volleyball and rocks to explore at low tide and great for swimming, surfing and windsurfing.
