    Brig-y-Don is a spacious detached property, cleverly divided into two properties, which can be booked separately or both together if you have an extended family. The larger of the two, Brig-y-Don, sleeps six, and has a lovely kitchen/dining room with stunning views out over the sparkling waters of Cardigan Bay, and a spacious living room with a warming wood burner – ideal for relaxing in front of with a glass of wine. The smaller property, Brig-y-Don Bach, which is all on one level, has a separate entrance and a private patio to the side of the house. It’s ideal for couples or grandparents wanting to have their own space! Both properties share the fabulous rear garden each with their own seating area. The main part of the garden enjoys the glorious sea views, which are particularly gorgeous in the evenings as the sun sinks into the sea to the west. The garden is enclosed, so great if you’re taking your pooch with you! From the end of the garden, there’s a direct path which, in just a few minutes, takes you down over the railway crossing, and onto the sandy beach (don’t forget to bring your bucket and spade!).
    You can stroll along the promenade and into the town centre, where you’ll find a good selection of pubs, cafés and eateries, plus a lovely choice of individual shops. You can hire a bike and explore the scenic Mawddach Trail, which runs along the course of an old railway line through pretty Penmaenpool, all the way to the market town of Dolgellau. You can enjoy a trip on a steam train on the Fairbourne Railway, Talyllyn Railway or Ffestiniog Railway, all of which are nearby, or visit mighty Harlech Castle, perched on the cliff in the picturesque town of Harlech (a UNESCO World Heritage Site). If adrenaline’s your thing, a visit to Zip World in Blaenau Ffestiniog is a must. Here you’ll find the world’s largest zip wire zone, plus Bounce Below, where you can bounce on trampoline nets and whizz down slides deep underground in an old slate cavern.
