This renovated cottage has been furnished and decorated to a high standard, with views across the lawned garden down to the enclosed private woodland, complete with a footpath through the trees. This is a haven for wildlife and you may see the resident deer at dawn and dusk.

There is also the Cleveland Way along the coastline and the steam train which winds its way over the heather laced hills of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park, a delight to explore. There are also ancient forests nearby such as Falling Foss with its waterfall and Dalby Forest, with footpaths, bike trails and zip-lining through the tree tops. For equestrians your horse is welcome to join you so that you can enjoy some of the beautiful trails together. Dreamer’s Hut is only 6 miles from Helmsley, one of Yorkshire’s finest market towns. This renowned market town is where the North York Moors and the Howardian Hills meet, offering fine historic views and countryside with a reputation for great Yorkshire hospitality. The market square is a meeting point for walkers, cyclists and locals alike. There are also many shops, cafés, eateries including Michelin starred restaurants, an open-air swimming pool, walled garden, castle, bird of prey centre, microbrewery, two abbey ruins and the stately home of Duncombe Park.
The Dreamer’s Hut is named after ’The Hawnby Dreamers’ - three local shepherds who in the mid-1700s, fell asleep whilst working in the fields on a hot day in the adjacent valley of Ladhill Ghyll, of which the hut overlooks. The shepherds awoke to discover they had each had the same vivid dream of spiritual awakening and being called to change their lives for the better. The three subsequently walked to Newcastle to hear the preaching of the famous John Wesley and converted to Methodism, bringing this faith back to Hawnby. The charming market town of Skipton also known as the ‘gateway to the dales’, is also 10 minutes away which is home to an ancient castle, cobbled high street and colourful street market. Teffont is a delightful village set in the Nadder Valley less than 5 miles from the historic town of Tisbury with a butcher, delicatessen, wine bar, bottle store and a chemist – everything you need. Salisbury is approximately 10 miles away. There are railway stations in both towns with trains to London Waterloo (in just under 2 hours), or to the West Country. The village is less than 10 minutes from the A303, between Stonehenge and the market town of Mere.

Larkham Loft is ideally located to explore this lovely part of Wiltshire. Points of interest include Salisbury Cathedral, Stonehenge, art gallery and café in Tisbury, Cranbourne Chase, the Newt near Bruton, Wardour Castle (English Heritage) and Dinton Park or Stourhead (both National Trust). There is an abundance of local walking around and about. Great food is always part of a great weekend away. There are a number of excellent pubs in the area and your owner are more than happy to help with any suggestions and recommendations.

The Fold shepherds hut is set in its own wonderfully secluded field that lies alongside the meandering River Perry, on a grassy meadow known as "The Flash". With views over the river and the fields beyond, The Fold offers total peace and rural charm in the Shropshire countryside.
Inside, there’s a lovely bespoke kitchen, including a large Belfast sink and plenty of storage. The owners provide basic condiments for cooking and a welcome pack waiting for you on your arrival. There is a built-in seating area and table, perfect for both indoor eating and games, some games are provided in the hut for you to enjoy. The bathroom has a large shower and top-of-the-range waterless eco loo. The eco loo is slightly different to a domestic toilet but much more sustainable. Lots of thought has gone into the hut and throughout, nothing is overlooked. For a good night’s sleep, there’s a delightful king-size bed with White Company bedding and handmade cushions and furnishings. In the main living area is a wood burner (it may be possible to have this lit for your arrival).
Outside there is a fenced garden which includes a top-of-the-range wood-fired hot tub which overlooks the picturesque meadow and has views of the river. The Fold’s garden also includes a firepit/BBQ, perfect for cooking or just gathering around to keep warm on a brisk evening. You will also have access down to the river through the meadow. The Fold has sole occupancy of The Flash with no one overlooking you, and no neighbours - apart from the odd sheep at certain times of the year! Have your morning cup of tea listening to bird songs, watching the resident swans glide down the river, and if you are lucky, spot the occasional kingfisher. The Fold is the perfect place to hang out in the summer or cosy up in the winter with the wood burner roaring.
From the shepherd’s hut, you will have access straight from the farm to the beautiful Shropshire countryside via a network of footpaths. As well as many local walks straight from the door. The Fold is also a great springboard from which to explore the wider area including the Shropshire Hills and historic Shrewsbury which is only a 10-15 minute drive away. Located in the tiny hamlet of Yeaton, The Fold is only a 1½ mile walk from the village of Baschurch which has a fantastic pub, several takeaways, a farm shop and a cafe as well as a well-stocked village shop and post office.
The Fold is off-grid, and all the power is generated by solar panels and stored in batteries. Whilst we are confident that there will be ample power for your stay, please use the electricity responsibly and turn off lights and chargers when not in use. There are modern USB charging sockets. There is no mains electricity, therefore, hairdryers etc cannot be used. A kettle is provided for use on the gas hob or wood-burning stove. This wonderful, detached barn conversion lies just a few minutes’ walk from the shores of Ullswater in the Lake District National Park. It has one kingsize bedroom with a high quality mattress and an en-suite shower room, and offers open plan living, dining and kitchen areas with views looking out onto Ullswater. There is also a separate utility room with a toilet. Private parking, bike storage, a small garden with shrubs and a cobbled courtyard with views of Ullswater complete the picture.
All of the Lake District’s main attractions are close by, including Keswick and Windermere, as well as amazing walks and cycle routes nearby. The property is also only 2 miles from the steamer jetty at Ullswater, where you’ll be able to enjoy an afternoon on the water. Shop and restaurant 2 miles, pub ½ mile.
