    The living rooms are comfortably designed, one on the ground floor opening onto the beautiful conservatory/games room. The other has been carefully thought out on the first floor so the outstanding views straight over to the coast and open countryside can be enjoyed through the floor to ceiling glass windows. Retire here after a long day on the beach and watch the horses graze whilst the sun sets behind them. The kitchen overlooks the gardens and has everything needed to cook up a hearty meal for the whole family to enjoy. There’s also a utility room which houses the washer/dryer and tumble dryer. The bedrooms are effortlessly presented with one situated on the ground floor, with a well-equipped en-suite. The upper level being home to a variety of bedroom styles to suit every guest including a twin room and a family bathroom. There is a large garage which makes a great storage room for water sports equipment, bikes, and anything else you may need it for. This honeypot location benefits from pretty gardens to the front and rear of the property, with a grand patio area and furniture where you can unwind under the sun, pop the barbecue on and enjoy some al fresco dining.
    Straight opposite the property is Slate Hall Riding Centre, take advantage of a stroll along the golden sands with one of the horses or ponies on offer - what a wonderful way to end a holiday to remember at Bernicia House! Seahouses offers a wide array of tearooms, restaurants, pubs and shops within walking distance. Boat trips run from the nearby harbour to the Farne Islands, famous for their nesting seabirds and grey seal colonies.
    The picture postcard village of Bamburgh, dominated by its majestic castle, is only 2 miles north, where there is a wide expanse of golden, and often empty sandy beaches. The tidal island of Lindisfarne, locally known as Holy Island, can be seen from the beach and is accessible via a causeway twice daily. A further 2 miles up the coastline brings you to Waren Mill, which is steeped in history. Once an important port, its harbour has long since disappeared, silted up beneath the sands of the estuary. Budle Bay is a bird sanctuary and at low tide a vast expanse of mud flats is home to thousands of sea and land birds, making this location a haven for bird watchers. The historic market town of Alnwick, with its own castle, offers many facilities, just a short drive inland. Alnwick Garden is a popular visitor attraction with its grand cascade waterfall and a restaurant within the largest treehouse in Europe! Beach 800 yards. Shop, pub and restaurant 300 yards.

    The moment you approach this beautifully converted chapel you know you’re in store for a lovely stay in a unique property. The large wooden chapel doors open to reveal a big hallway with a couple of rooms leading off to the sides. You come to a useful study room first which offers a little privacy or peace, and the opposite is a utility room providing the perfect place to dry and feed the dog, dry wet coats after a busy day’s walking in the Lakes. A second set of doors opens into an impressive, Instagram-worthy living space, with high vaulted ceilings, large leaded windows, and oak beams.
    Once you catch your breath, you can take in the large kitchen with all the amenities and space required to cater anything from a simple sandwich to a family feast. The breakfast bar is the ideal place to watch the chef show off their skills whilst enjoying a glass of wine before moving the feast to the large dining table, where you could easily imagine you were starring in an epic movie during a medieval banquet.
    transition easily into the comfortable living area with its sumptuous sofas, electric fire, and TV. You can’t fail to notice the first of the bedrooms as your eyes are drawn to the glass-fronted stairs leading up to the kingsize bedroom in the rafters of the chapel, where there is also an en-suite bathroom to the left. The remaining three bedrooms consist of two more king-size beds and a twin room, all with en-suite bathrooms and located on the lower floor level.
    The chapel is in the quiet Hamlet of Lowick Green near Spark Bridge but offers a great location to explore the scenery and attractions of the South Lakes area. There is a local pub The Farmers Arms. The iconic Coniston Water is just 10 miles away, offering a great location for wild swimming, paddleboarding or kayaking for those water enthusiasts. Alternatively, within a short drive, you can enjoy the world-famous Windermere water offering Lakeside towns to explore with an excellent range of independent shops, restaurants, pubs, or attractions like The World of Beatrix Potter. Take a lake cruise or hire your motorboat to enjoy this vast expanse of water. Other local attractions include the Motor Museum, Lakes Aquarium, escape rooms, high ropes, and outdoor adventures, right through to horse racing or Michelin star restaurants.
