Carr House farmhouse is set on a working farm, but only minutes away from the attractions of Scarborough and only 1½ miles from the well known surfing beach at Cayton Bay, which also welcomes dog walkers throughout the year. Visitors of all ages will enjoy the large landscaped gardens with a summerhouse, apple trees and barbecue, with a perimeter fence making it ideal for both children and pets. This detached farmhouse is ideal for touring the North Yorkshire coast, from Whitby in the north to Bridlington in the south. A short journey inland takes you to the North York Moors, ’Heartbeat’ Country and Pickering for the steam railway, whilst York for its historic attractions is less than an hour away.

For activities nearby there is Dalby Forest for cycling and tree climbing, Wykeham Lakes for fishing, or the many beaches which offer the chance to just relax, sail, surf, sunbathe, paddle, and build sandcastles. If peace and tranquillity is what you are after then look no further. The Dairy is situated in Beck Hole, one of Yorkshire’s best kept secrets. The semi-detached cottage has had a newly fitted kitchen in 2022 and sits within the grounds of the owner’s home just a short walk from one of the smallest pubs in the UK, known for its traditional ales and warm friendly welcome. Beck Hole is located deep in the valley with the holiday cottage overlooking the village just a short stroll from the local pub. Stunning valleys and sweeping hillside views can be enjoyed from the idyllic location of the cottage. You could almost be anywhere in the world, close your eyes and listen to the silence interrupted only by bird song. Cycle tracks, bridle paths and walkways abound from the doorstep with quaint little villages popping up when you least expect it.
It is just 1 mile from the well-known village of Goathland best known for its connections with Heartbeat, indeed Hill Farm in which The Dairy sits was used for many of the film shoots. The village green is lined with quaint curio shops, inns and tea rooms serving some of Yorkshire’s finest cuisine. You can board the North Yorkshire Moors Steam Train here and take a memorable journey through the glorious Esk Valley as it steams its way across the valleys into the historic market town of Pickering. The ancient sea port of Whitby is just a short drive over the moors, eight miles, a colourful harbour leads to the three mile stretch of sandy beach overlooked and almost protected by the ancient abbey ruins and St Mary’s church. The brave (and fit) can take the 199 steps up to the abbey ruins where panoramic views over Whitby across to Sandsend can be enjoyed. Explore the smugglers coves of Robin Hoods Bay, Runswick Bay and Staithes or visit the more elegant seaside resort of Scarborough, Britain’s first ever seaside resort. It would take a lifetime to explore the delights on offer in this beautiful part of the world. With country shows and fairs throughout the summer you will be spoilt for choice. Country pubs serving local produce are within easy reach should you wish to dine out during your stay, with the closest just 500 yards away and easily reached via a stroll through the estate grounds. Garden Cottage is located in the Yorkshire Wolds on the edge of the Settrington Estate, just 4 miles from the historic market town of Malton and centrally located for the tourist attractions of Scarborough, Filey, York and Helmsley. Formerly a tied cottage attached to Settrington Estate, the alterations and interior design of this detached property offer guests superb quality and boutique-style accommodation. There is a utility room which leads to a large kitchen with all the mod cons, and a large dining room with dual aspect views across the estate’s walled gardens, which takes in a beautiful view of the cottage’s own expansive grounds. A handy, en-suite double bedroom on the ground floor has been designed with accessibility in mind. The living room has a cosy cottage feel, with a real wood burner and logs supplied. Three bedrooms can be found on the first floor, two of which are en-suite, the third has use of the separate shower room, and all have been designed individually for your enjoyment. Paddock House is a beautiful detached, stone-built bungalow situated in Middleham, Wensleydale, nestled away peacefully just behind Middleham village square. The property feels warm and welcoming no matter what the weather. There’s ample private parking at the property with a double garage that can be used for storage. It is an excellent property which is exceptionally large and offers plenty of space for all family members. There are two living rooms and the bedrooms offer a great combination for sleeping arrangements with a super kingsize, two zip and link super kingsize beds that can be made up as singles on request, and a double sofa bed. Hairdryers are available. There is a double vanity unit in bedroom 1’s en-suite bathroom, and a single vanity unit in the main bathroom. The bungalow is perfect for that family or group get together. Step out of the patio doors from the living room into a beautiful landscaped garden and patio, a lovely outside place to entertain or simply take in the stunning views. Beyond the garden is an enclosed paddock, which can be used by guests to enjoy when it is not being grazed by sheep.
This ideal location is within 2 minutes of restaurants, pubs, cafés, small independent shops and local village store. Middleham is renowned for its castle, formerly home to Richard III, and several race horse stables. A fabulous sight to watch as the horses are led through the village each day up onto the gallops. Wensleydale is awash with beautiful scenery and pretty villages making Paddock House a superb place to stay and explore the Yorkshire Dales and its attractions. Shop, pub and restaurant 200 yards.

Harbourside House is a modern, end townhouse, located at the commencement of the Whitehall Landing Development, but within close proximity of the harbour and having pleasant harbour views. There is a children’s playground located behind the property, which will be well suited for families with small children. It has been decorated and furnished to a good standard and is a perfect base for couples and families looking to explore the Yorkshire Coast or the North York Moors area. There is an enclosed garden, patio and raised decking area with harbour views – great for dining al-fresco or just relaxing with a glass of wine. The property also has the luxury of a garage which can be used to store bicycles and a private parking area outside for two cars. A 10-minute walk will bring you into the heart of the town where you will find an abundance of activities and amenities to suit all the family. Whitby has so much to offer all year round and is a very popular place to visit. There are a large selection of pubs, quaint antique and gift shops and famous fish and chip shops. There are also several restaurants that have won many awards for excellent cuisine to suit all tastes. The local tour bus is an excellent way of visiting some of Whitby’s highlights including the stunning Abbey and St. Mary’s Church positioned on the Cliff top where you can enjoy spectacular views over Whitby and out to sea. There are also many events going on all year round including Whitby’s own Regatta, Folk week, music weekends and Goth Weekends which offer something to please everyone. If you would like to travel further afield you can visit many pretty coastal resorts dotted along the coast from Whitby including Sandsend, Runswick Bay, Staithes and Robin Hoods Bay which are all worth a day out.
