One of a number of cottages at The Laurels with superb coarse fishing lakes on site just a short walk away. Nearby Skegness has all the attractions you’d expect from a popular traditional seaside resort with Butlin’s, Fantasy island and Ingoldmells all close by for days out. You can watch the banger racing and Stock Cars at Skegness Stadium, or head into the Lincolnshire Wolds for endless walks and cycle routes with many good village pubs and tea rooms for refreshment on your journey. Shop and pub 1 mile, beach 3 miles.

Set to the rear of the owner’s home, with views over open fields to the side, in a peaceful location yet only a short distance of the popular seaside resort of Skegness, lie Ashington Holiday Cottages (refs 29130, 29131 and UKC2370). They provide well-appointed, comfortable, detached accommodation. The traditional holiday resort of Skegness is well known for its sandy beaches, seal sanctuary, Gibraltor Point Nature Reserve and fun fair. There are two excellent 18-hole links golf courses nearby at North Shore and Seacroft, with fishing lakes throughout the area one of which is just ½ mile away. The region offers good walking and cycle routes, with the Lincolnshire Wolds and the market towns of Louth and Alford nearby. Horncastle, best known for its numerous antique shops, is about 25 minutes’ drive. Shop and pub serving food 1 mile.

Whether its a base from which to explore the east coast and the Lincolnshire Wolds, also nearby, or simply somewhere to sit and relax in front of the wood burner with a good book, The Old Granary is ideal. There are good walks and cycle routes from the door, with the coast approximately a 10-minute drive away. The traditional seaside resort of Skegness is 9 miles away, with plenty of entertainment for everyone including the Gibraltar Point Nature Reserve. During the winter months, visit the seal pups at Donna Nook. The market town of Alford is a 10-minute drive, whilst the Georgian market town of Louth, which still has 3 markets a week, is about half an hour by car and is always worth a visit with its many shops, local butchers and very good selection of cafés and pubs. The beach is within 4 miles, shops, pubs and restaurant within 2 miles.
