This lovely, one-bedroom annexe is attached to the owner’s home and has been furnished and decorated accordingly to a very high standard! The property has a good-sized double bedroom with a very swanky brand new bathroom with a great multi-spray power shower. The open plan living space is ideal for two people along with a fully equipped kitchen. There is a private rear garden with patio area to sit quietly and enjoy a coffee before heading to the beach or town. You also have a shared front garden again with seating area, which looks towards the lovely woodland opposite the house.
The property is close to many places such as Margate, Ramsgate, Broadstairs, Canterbury, Whitstable and about 30 minutes’ drive from Dover. Sam’s Snug is ideally located for a fabulous holiday or for a short break stay. The Cottage has commanding, stunning views across the English Channel. This attractive, spacious, family home for all seasons is the ideal property for a relaxing holiday with both friends or relatives.

There is a private hot tub at The Cottage, and the property offers 2 games rooms, 1 in the house with children’s toys, a library, games and 2 table football tables. There is a large, second games room in the garage next to the house which offers a number of activities including: table tennis, pool table, darts, bows and arrows, basketball (outside the garage). These games rooms also feature a kitchenette with a fridge, and seating area with a large sofa, ideal for all ages. Please note this games room is not heated.
A decked terrace runs the length of the property, an ideal spot for soaking up the sun or relax after a brisk winter walk in front of a glowing log burner in the cosy living room, overlooking the frothing waves. Four of the six bedrooms have sea views and the other two have attractive garden views.
The white chalk cliff above St Margaret’s Bay is said to be the first place the sun reaches each morning on mainland Britain! The beach is famous for being the closest point to France and is the spot where Channel swimmers begin their marathon 21 mile swim.
The village itself offers good pubs, restaurants and local shop within walking distance. The coastal path leads to the famous White Cliffs of Dover, gateway to England and now one of the UK’s protected Heritage coasts offering some of the best cliff coastal walking in the country. The lighthouse is the place where Marconi transmitted his first radio broadcast to France. Closer to France than London, bring a passport, catch a ferry from Dover and visit the French markets in Calais and Boulogne for the day.

These delightful, single-storey cottages are located on the outskirts of Alkham, a quaint countryside village in Kent. Consisting of three cottages, Horseshoe Cottage (ref UKC410), Dairy Cottage (ref UKC409) and Saddler’s Cottage (ref UKC408), this is a great location for families and friends to enjoy a fun filled holiday in the Kentish country. Decorated and furnished to a good standard, all the cottages feature Wi-Fi, comfortable living accommodation and each cottage has an enclosed, private garden with patio. Saddlers Cottage and Dairy Cottage also have the additional benefit of hot tubs to enjoy all year round.
There is a vast array of walks and cycling routes around the area, guests are welcome to bring bikes and store them in the cycle storage area. Attractions in Kent include the famous city of Canterbury, boasting a stunning cathedral, dominant city walls, boutique shops, bars and restaurants. Take a ferry trip over to France from Dover to Calais, or by train from Ashford through the Channel Tunnel, and enjoy sightseeing. Dover Castle sits proudly overlooking the town and is well worth a visit. Known as the ‘Key to England’, the castle boasts 2000 years of history and includes a Roman lighthouse, Saxon church and a Norman keep. Travel up the coast to the fishing town of Deal and sample fish and chips on the promenade or enjoy a stroll at Viking Bay in Broadstairs. Beach 4 miles. Shop 3 miles, pub and restaurant 1 mile.

This beautiful holiday property is situated opposite the stunning Wesgate and Birchington Golf Club and is just a 6-minute walk to the golden sandy beach of West Bay beach. The Fairway has spacious south facing patio area ideal for a glass of wine in the sun, leading to lawns with gardens. Accommodating up to twelve guests made up of larger family groups. The living room has patio doors opening to a south facing patio area where guests can enjoy the magnificent sunsets. With plenty of comfort to choose from within five bedrooms, bedroom 3 is accessed via a wooden sliding door in bedroom 2, and bedroom 5 has a door leading to a large, south west facing balcony with panoramic views towards Birchington and the sea. All areas secured with fitted gates to ensure safe area for children and pets. There is a main driveway with high double gates and space for three cars to park in a line; the second driveway has parking area for two car.
Westgate is ideally located in the centre of Thanet, surrounded by villages and towns, with so much to see and do from bars, restaurants, boutique shops to beaches, plenty of walks and plenty of parks and scenery to take in. With more than adequate travel links via bus and trains you can explore Thanet day by day easily and locally within 30 minutes maximum travel. There is a wide promenade meandering towards Margate Sands in one direction and Minnis Bay via cliff roads and promenade in the opposite direction.
A short 15-minute drive in the area can take you to Westwood Shopping area, Broadstairs, Ramsgate, Reculver Towers Park. Historic Canterbury, Herne Bay and Whitstable a little further. The Tourist Information is located next to Turners Contemporary Gallery along from Margate Main Sands with the usual holidaymaker attractions. Westgate has a good range of takeaway outlets, traditional fish and chips, Indian, Chinese, Greek, Thai, Turquish, pizzeria along with numerous good cafés. Westgate was originally a gated community and the architecture of many of the buildings reflect the Edwardian heritage. The quaint parade of shops opposite Westgate Station provides a good range: newsagents, post office and chemists, bakers, butchers, fruit and veg, national supermarket, sweet shops, hairdressers and barbers, beauty salons, bric-a-brac and local charity shops catering for all ages and tastes. The three screen Carlton Cinema offers the latest films screened in a retro style surrounding. Come and experience this traditional array of shops, cafés and more. Margate is close by, which offers Dreamland theme park and the long golden sandy beaches with arcades and bars/cafés spread out along the way. 1 dog welcome. This is a great location for exploring the iconic city of Canterbury. The space This holiday space is a brick built garden room which has been separated from the main house by fencing creating a completely self-contained area for two guests. The ample bedroom has a super kingsize bed which can be separated into twin beds. The bedroom has wardrobes with space to hang clothes and shelves. A separate wardrobe is home to an iron and ironing board and a dustpan and brush. There is a dressing table with a hairdryer and a light-up make up mirror. A full length mirror is also on the front of the wardrobe. A Smart TV on the wall opposite the bed for those days when you just want to chill out in bed is there for your enjoyment. Accessed from the bedroom via a sliding pocket door is the shower room. This has a shower, wash hand basin and WC. The mirror over the basin has lighting and there is a shaver socket on the wall. Subtle low level spotlights allow the use of the WC without the need to put the main light on and the fan which is surprisingly quiet but could still be a disturbance in the night. The main room is both the kitchen and living space.
There are two external doors - the main door accessed via a smart lock using your smart phone and a rear door with access to the patio area. The kitchen has a built in oven, hob, dishwasher and fridge with ice box. A lovely quartz worktop adds to the style. The kitchen has a Nespresso machine as well as the normal kettle and toaster along with cutlery and crockery and cooking pans etc. The living space has a sofa and chair and smart TV, and there is also a dining table with 2 chairs. The outside patio area, perfect for taking in the evening rays of sun has both a table with chairs and parasol as well as a rattan corner sofa.
