Other attractions close by for your enjoyment include Glyndbourne with internationally renowned concerts and plays performed throughout the year, and Firle Place which is an outstanding privately owned country house in Sussex that dates from the time of Henry VIII. The house gardens and notable collection of works of art and porcelain are of national importance and will ensure a day to remember. If you choose to stay local and spend a day at the beach, then you’ll enjoy a good family day out with lots of things to keep you busy. With the Blue Reef Aquarium with its cute pufferfish, graceful rays and romantic sea horses and the Flamingo Amusement Park, there is plenty to do for a whole week and we haven’t even mentioned the 19th-century pier, museums and the historical landmarks dotted along the way.
    Just down the coast West is Eastbourne and 30 minutes’ drive north where you are submerged in the High Wealds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.     The house is full of the owner’s antique furniture and paintings, and is in a great location for exploring the surrounding area, including Battle Abbey. The house is a mix of rustic and original features and furnishings from 1800, melded with modern additions and conveniences; it is both in town, fronting a side road, and overlooking the owner’s fields on both sides, and farmland to the Abbey to the south.
