The Bothy has an attractive country façade and a homely, welcoming interior. The inviting kitchen/dining room is the central point for guests to dine, and has features such as flagstone floors, granite work tops, an Aga and a butler sink. The comfortable living room has a lovely wood burner to cosy up in front of, and has French doors to the pretty, well-maintained, enclosed rear garden. Also on the ground floor, there is a spacious games/TV room, with table football, air-hockey, games compendium, plenty of board games and a 55’’ TV with a DVD player and selection of DVDs. There is also a double bedroom and bathroom on the ground floor. Upstairs there are three further bedrooms and another family bathroom.

The Bothy is only a 4-minute drive to open forest, and The New Forest, which is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, is known for its excellent walking and is the ideal place to enjoy tranquil days out, with rambling, cycling and golf available. Wild ponies and cattle roam the lanes and streets, and there are many picturesque villages to discover with gift shops and cafés/restaurants serving cream teas. There are also vineyards and farm shops where you can try the local wine and produce!
The historic town of Lymington is only about 5 minutes’ drive, and has many boutiques, eateries, ice cream parlours, tea rooms and inns. It is known for its cobbled streets leading down to the quayside with a delightful old harbour – always a hive of activity! The popular, traditional market takes place every Saturday, and there is a sailing club and an open air sea water baths dating back to 1833. Places to visit include Exbury Gardens, Beaulieu Motor Museum, and the riverside village of Buckler’s Hard and Christchurch Priory. Within easy driving distance and great for family days out are Monkey World, Bovington Tank Museum and Highcliffe Castle. Discover Lulworth Cove on the Jurassic Coastline, or visit Corfe Castle, Stonehenge, Winchester or Salisbury Cathedrals. Marwell Zoo and Paultons Park with Peppa Pig World also make for great days out. If all this isn’t enough, you can take a day trip by ferry to the Isle Of Wight from Southampton.

The beaches of this popular isle are surrounded by sheltered waters across from the Isle of Wight, making it ideal for water sports activities. It is renowned for its windsurfing and sailing activities, kayaking, power boating, jet ski-ing, kite surfing and wake boarding. Local paddle-boating and windsurfing lessons are available close by. Every year there is a national windsurfing event, and a hive of sailing and nautical activity can be seen along the coastline.
Many activities can be enjoyed locally for all ages, including a seaside railway, fun fair and West Beachlands, great for sandcastles at low tide! Free play includes beach volleyball and adventure play areas. For the sports enthusiast, Seacourt is also worth a visit, with five racket sports. Other nearby activities include golf, horse riding, boat trips and scenic walks along the water’s edge, or walks along the South Downs National Park which is within easy reach. Chichester, with its beautiful cathedral, festival theatre, pedestrianised shopping, leisure centre, Roman villa, and Goodwood or Fontwell races, is definitely worthy of a visit.
Visit Portsmouth, with its waterside dining, ferry trips to the Isle of Wight, designer outlets, Natural History Museum, leisure facilities, Spinnaker Tower, and HMS Victory, or explore the maritime history of Southampton. The farmhouse was originally farm cottages to Hamstead Grange and parts of the property are believed to date back to Tudor times, when the grange was owned by the Monks of Quarr Abbey on the island.
Seashore and cliff walks can be found along the coastal paths and outdoor pursuits are well catered for including horse riding, fishing, cycling, paragliding, watersports and golf. There are numerous attractions to discover for all ages on this beautiful sunny island. The Needles landmark attraction is a must see and is a short distance away to the west, with its chairlift, amusement park, boat rides, lighthouse and the coloured sands of Alum Bay. The seaside resort of Sandown, with its long golden stretch of sandy beach, pier and promenade is about a five minute drive, with various entertainment including trampolines, fun-rides, putting, crazy golf, leisure centre with indoor pool, the zoo (where Tiger Isle was filmed), slides, and many cafes, bars, restaurants and pubs. Also within easy driving distance are National Trust homes and gardens and the English Heritage Property; Osborne House, where Queen Victoria used to reside, Ventnor Botanical Gardens, Mottistone Manor. Golden Hill Fort is situated within 50 acres of Golden Hill Country Park. Originally built in 1863 in a distinctive hexagonal shape, which is elevated 60 metres above the north west coast of the Isle of Wight. This spectacular Grade I listed building has now been beautifully converted into 18 luxury houses.

Internally, the property offers brick barrel vaulted ceilings with coloured LED mood lighting, solid oak floors with underfloor heating and high quality appliances. Externally, the communal rooftop gardens (approximately 5,500 square metres), offers stunning, panoramic 360 degree views across the Solent, English Channel and the countryside.
