The Coach House is a beautiful, enchanting, character-filled retreat in the picturesque village of Thornfalcon, offering a blend of character, interior design, comfort and views over the fields. The open plan living space with vaulted ceiling, creats an airy, inviting atmosphere. The well-equipped kitchen provides a range of herbs, spices, oil, vinegar, tea, sugar for your culinary creations. A cosy wood burner is perfect for relaxing evenings, as well as a good selection of books. French doors lead onto a patio, allowing you to soak in the tranquil countryside and surrounding orchards. Three steps down to a charming twin bedroom with an additional single sofa bed, offering flexibility. A wet room with shower and toilet ensures accessibility and comfort for guests. A utility room comes equipped with a washer/dryer, microwave, ironing board and iron.

On the second floor is a beautiful master bedroom with rustic beams adding unique character. This elegant space boasts a kingsize bed and en-suite facilities allowing you to indulge in relaxation. This stunning 3 bedroom barn is ideally located just outside of Rye and yet its rural location puts you firmly in the middle of the English countryside with far reaching panoramic views. You’ll see more deer and wildlife than people, but trust the peace and quiet will suit. The sunrises are spectacular and for those looking for a rural adventure your journey starts here. It’s a great base to explore from with several National Trust properties nearby, as well as some of the best vineyards in the south east of England, including Chapel Down and Gusbourne.
Tillingham Vineyard is at the end of the road, a great location with wine, a restaurant, pizza and beer, and The Three Legs micro brewery is 10 minutes’ drive in the other direction offering great beer, hams and cheeses usually between Thursday and Sunday. The Globe in Marsh at the Rye end of the Old Military Canal is a quirky pub with good food. The Hoof, The Standard and Webbe’s Fish Cafe are also good places to eat.
Rye itself is worth a wander with cobbled streets, old shops and cafes, and its own cinema. Tenterden is also worth a visit with the Kent and East Sussex Railway station, micro breweries, shops and cafes.
If you simply want to relax and go for a walk, Partridge Barn is immediately next to Beckley Woods where you can easily walk for an hour without seeing a soul. Camber Sands offers one of the longest sandy beaches in the south and is 20 minutes’ drive from the house. Northiam has a great little cafe next to the river where you can hire canoes, boats or paddle boards. If you’re feeling energetic you can paddle as far as Bodiam Castle. Whether you paddle back is a different matter! Great Dixter House and Gardens is also in the village.
Ashford Outlet Centre is 35 minutes drive and Folkestone Eurotunnel terminal 45 mins away. The local village of Peasmarsh has a hotel with swimming, spa and gym with day membership as well as a supermarket and petrol station for all your needs.
The barn itself can accommodate up to 5 guests and sits in its own one acre plot comprising a paddock, private drive with ample car parking, front deck and rear patios with formal garden. It has two double bedrooms and one single room with an upstairs ‘landing’ study area for those needing to work from home. Downstairs, the open plan style allows for 3x sets of bi fold doors to be opened to bring the outside, in. It has a large kitchen with island and overall offers guests a great place to stay.

Bee Keepers Cottage is located on a working farm on the edge of Derbyshire’s Peak District, the cottage overlooks the 18 hole golf course at Shirland Golf and country club where visitors day passes are available.

The cottage has beautiful rural views and offers guests the peace and quiet of rural living yet within easy access of local attractions and transport networks, and there is a golf course boarding the property’s grounds and miles of footpath networks adjacent to the farm.

The accommodation at Bee Keepers cottage is spaced over a single storey and offers light, bright accommodation with beautiful gardens and views of the rolling Derbyshire countryside.

Chatsworth House, Hardwick Hall and Crich tramway museum are a short drive away. Local towns include Matlock, Bakewell and Chesterfield. Derby and Nottinghamshire are a 20-minute drive.

The location is popular with walkers who enjoy the beautiful walks and trails straight from the doorstep.

All accommodation is on the ground floor. The Large modern kitchen/dining area to seat 6 and opens out onto the living area with Smart TV. The kitchen has an electric eye level oven, built in microwave, induction hob, fridge/ freezer, dishwasher and washing machine.

Two bedrooms have king size beds, and the third a single bed, and there is a family bathroom with bath and shower above – there is also an additional shower room with quadrant shower cubicle, toilet and basin.

Outside there are two seating areas, a BBQ, gardens and plenty of off-road parking.

Guests are welcome to visit the horses in the barn next to the property (prior arrangement with the owner), please supervise children for their safety.

The Firs is a delightful family and dog friendly end-terrace cottage, nestled away in the quaint village of Carbis Bay, just 1 mile from the beautiful coastal resort of St Ives. This charming property has three well-furnished bedrooms each with its own TV. There is a large family bathroom on the first floor. As you enter the property, kick of your shoes in the porch and relax into a bright and spacious open plan living and dining area, boasting beautiful wooden beams and natural stone flooring. This area has direct patio door access to the enclosed courtyard, making it the perfect place for al fresco dining, entertaining or just enjoying the sunshine. From the sitting area is a modern, well-equipped kitchen leading to a utility room with washing machine and toilet.

The cottage is situated on a quiet side road with its own off-street parking bay, within easy walking distance of a restaurant, pub and fish and chip shop, as well as a small supermarket, pharmacy, bus stop and coastal train station. Within 0.7 miles is the stunning Carbis Bay Beach with its golden sand and turquoise waters. Here you can enjoy various water activities, eat and drink at the restaurants or just sit back and relax on this gorgeous beach. From here, there are spectacular views of St Ives Harbour, Godrevy lighthouse, Gwithian and Hayle Towans.

St. Ives is a beautiful resort and can easily be accessed on foot via the South West Coastal Path or take the coastal train for spectacular clifftop views. St Ives has much more to offer than just beautiful beaches. Take a boat trip, wander around the shops or visit the Tate Gallery or Barbara Hepworth Museum. Cafés, restaurants and pubs are plentiful. For dogs, there are plenty of woods, coastal and scenic walks within easy distance of the cottage or take the South West Coastal Path to Porthkidney Beach which is dog friendly all year round. At the end of the day head back and enjoy the solitude, sit outside and watch the incredible night skies whilst you plan the next day’s adventure.

The owner has horses and free range chickens may even come and visit!
There are so many places to visit and so easy to get to. Take a trip to Totnes where there are many shops, markets and walks along the riverbank. Dartmoor is just a short car ride where you can see the ponies, walk the Tors or simply stop off in one of the many villages for a Devon cream tea. Paignton, Torquay and Brixham are also great places to visit, as are Exeter and Plymouth, both within 30 minutes’ drive. There are many National Trust properties including Agatha Christie’s summer home ’Greenway’, well worth a visit. For the children, there is Crealy Adventure park, or Go Ape in Haldon. If you are bringing a bicycle, there are many cycle ways off road to be explored, including Powderham Castle where there is a cycle track all along the estuary. Blackhill Gate Cottage is set in an unrivalled rural location offering superb panoramic countryside views across the stunning scenery of the Peak District National Park. Crossing the Derbyshire and Cheshire boundary on the outskirts of the pretty Peak District village of Kettleshulme, this holiday cottage is located next to a field which at times is home to nursery lambs, and offers fine walking direct from the door through the valley of Todd Brook, Bowstones, Taxal Edge and into the Goyt Valley. Kettleshulme itself is home to a 15th century country pub which offers a warm welcome and freshly cooked meals. The town of Whaley Bridge with its mix of shops, bars and restaurants plus train station with direct service to both Manchester and Buxton is a 5 minute drive.
