This Victorian terraced holiday home is situated 50ft from the sea in the small coastal village of Seascale. It has spectacular views across the sea to the Isle of Man and south west Scotland. Seascale boasts miles of sandy beaches. The sea provides the opportunity for fishing, windsurfing and water skiing. There is a slipway for launching boats, an 18-hole golf course, bowling green, sports centre and children’s play area. Local attractions include Muncaster Castle, World Owl Centre, Ravenglass to Eskdale Narrow Gauge Railway and the western Lake District area. Shop, pub and restaurant 200 yards.

Finkle Cottage is found in the middle of Pooley Bridge with its own private parking and views over the local countryside. Nestled quietly away from the main road, it is hard to believe just how central you are. Suitable for a family holiday, this detached cottage offers three large bedrooms and a family bathroom upstairs. Downstairs you have a living room with Multi-fuel burner, and a dining room/snug also with a multi-fuel burner. There is also a conservatory and large boot room, and outside it has its own parking and a large garden with sitting-out areas.
The village is found at the outfall of Ullswater Lake, in the Lake District National Park, and the area offers some of the most wonderful landscapes in the region from the privacy of a secluded rural setting. It is just a short walk from Ullswater Lake, with its walking, watersports and ponderous steamers. This area offers many forms of recreation, whatever season you choose to visit. Shop, pub and restaurant within 100 yards.

This deceptively spacious detached holiday house has been tastefully renovated to a good standard, with a sunny conservatory, two bedrooms and bathroom on the ground floor. New for 2024, the property benefits from a new ’up-market’ kitchen along with new carpets to lounge, dining room and passage.
There is free Wi-fi in the property. There are also USB charger sockets in the main bedroom and the lounge. With Chrome Cast in the lounge, you can stream from your hand-held device. All instructions on how to use this is in the front page of the visitor’s book. The pleasant village is situated within easy walking distance of Derwent Water, with all its watersports, and is only 1.5 miles walk through the fields to the popular Lake District town of Keswick. All around there are views of the mountains, from Skiddaw to Grizedale Pike and Cat Bells, with superb walking and cycling available locally (bike hire in Keswick). Ideally located in the heart of one of the Lake District’s most popular towns, Skiddaw View provides the ideal base from which to explore Keswick and the surrounding lakes and fells. Skiddaw View has been completely redecorated throughout in April 2018 with new curtains and some furnishings, new bedding, linen and towels and with lovely artwork on the walls of beautiful local scenes. Stretching over the first and second floors, with superb views from the second floor bedrooms, this family holiday apartment is a haven for walkers and outdoor enthusiasts alike.
