    Trosvik is a seven-bedroomed property set over three floors, perfect for families and large groups to share. Located in the centre of Portscatho close to the beach, shops, pub and cafés, this is the ideal property for a family getaway. On the ground floor is a large spacious living room offering a smart HDTV which connects to streaming platforms and for those cooler evenings a cosy wood burner to cosy up to The kitchen/dining room is large and is fully equipped, complete with an eight-seater table which can be pulled, opening into a twelve-seater. Through the kitchen leads to the outside parking space and the utility room with drying rack, and the first of three shower rooms on this floor. The first floor has two kingsize bedrooms, one with a TV and seaviews, one twin bedroom and a single bedroom. The family bathroom completes this floor. The second floor has a further three bedrooms, as well as a shower room. At the front of the property is a large, paved terrace perfect to sit out and take in the sunshine and from the property across the road is the access to the beach.
    Portscatho lies in the south-westerly corner of Gerrans Bay on the Roseland peninsula. In the village centre you’ll find several shops including a butcher and a decent grocery/off licence as well as the now standard galleries and gift shops. The local pub serves up St Austell ales and good pub grub.
    Above Portscatho lies the village of Gerrans, only a 5-minute walk up the hill. The mediaeval church, that stands opposite, has served as an invaluable landmark to generations of local fishermen. Take the cliff path north out of Portscatho and in under 20 minutes you’ll be standing on the beautiful Porthcurnick beach. At low tide Porthcurnick has acres of flat sand perfect for games of cricket, but you might have to wade out a bit to get a decent swim! Further east still are Carne beach and Pendower beach which at low tide join to form an even bigger expanse of sand where dogs are allowed all year round. Beach 150 yards.

    The Bothy (CWC575120) is a semi-detached, listed cottage, nestled alongside the main farmhouse, with two bedrooms it is an ideal size for a small family yet not too big for a couple, the terrace is private and protected, you are bound to have pheasants wandering in front of the living room windows while you are kept cosy by the wood burning stove. At the same time, you can sit in the deep window seats watching yachts and ships pass by on the horizon. Lavender Cottage (CWC575149 was once the estate’s potting shed and is an oasis of calm. The private patio is a suntrap and overlooks the walled garden, the living room has a cosy fire and TV and excellent broadband, the kitchen is bright and airy and has French doors that open onto the patio. Upstairs is a cosy little bedroom and a bathroom. Overall, the cottage has plenty of character and charm; if you are after a romantic break, this is the perfect little cottage in the perfect location. Place Lodge (CWC575150) has traditional tall leaded windows; the living room is bright and airy and oozes character. There is a Victorian fireplace to warm up those chilly winter evenings, a spacious kitchen/dining room with an ornamental kitchen range and farmhouse table. There is also a shower room on the ground floor. There are 2 bedrooms upstairs, a 5’ double, a twin bedroom, and a family bathroom and outside, to the rear, is a sunny sheltered patio.
    Place Barton is located high on a ridge on St Anthony Headland and is part of the Place Estate, this is the perfect place to escape from reality there are few better places to enjoy the true beauty of the idyllic Roseland Peninsula. Surrounded by rolling rural landscapes, stunning walks with the best views of St Mawes, Place House, Pendennis Castle, Falmouth and the Carrick Roads. Explore St Anthony Head and the Lighthouse, famously used as the base for the TV series Fraggle Rock and also Molunan Beaches which are right by the lighthouse. As a bonus you can take the car down a private lane to within a couple of hundred yards of the beach, closer if you bring a 4x4, and are confident of its off-roading capability. Towan Beach is also close by and is also dog friendly. Beach ½ mile.

    The historical cottage, built around the 1890’s and was a former stables for a local Inn, feels bright and stylish whilst maintaining the rustic feel of the property. After an action-packed day exploring the coast, enter into the kitchen/dining area where you will find everything you need to enjoy a self-catered break. Head into the spacious lounge where you can unwind on the comfortable seating, watch a film on the smart TV whilst enjoying the glows of the electric wood burner in the background. This warm and light room has double doors which lead into the enclosed courtyard area which can create a fresh and airy feel throughout the entire day. Perfect for enjoying the warm Cornish evenings or a morning coffee. An absolute sun trap.     Mews Cottage is just a few steps from the main street, with a variety of shops, pubs, restaurants and Tintagel Castle, the mythical home of King Arthur. There is also a good bus serivce in Tintagel so you have the option of leaving the car. The coast is within a 10-minute walk and the nearest beach at Bossiney Cove is just 1.3 miles away or a 25-minute walk across the fields. Within easy reach are the coastal villages of Boscastle and Port Isaac, the latter made famous by the TV series, ’Doc Martin’. Further along the coast are the golden, sandy beaches of Rock and Polzeath. Plenty of walking and local paths perfect for the family, and prime dog walking places on the doorstep of Mews Cottage. Trebarwith Strand a 10 minutes drive is a perfect beach for this, dog friendly all year round, but is also accessable via the coastal path past St Materiana’s church. Mews has BT WiFi so workations here are possible. Pub within a mile.
