    To the south, a short drive takes you to coastal towns of Looe and Polperro or the villages of Cawsand and Kingsand all steeped in history with tales of smuggling and wrecking. The beaches on this part of the coast are numerous and offer coves, inlets and low-tide rockpools – perfect for children of all ages to explore! The beautiful towns of Liskeard and Tavistock have many amenities and superb architecture and are well worth a visit. Take the train from Liskeard railway station, all the way to Plymouth, where spectacular scenery unrolls before you as you pass through the Lynher and Tamar Valley, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It offers a bright and airy open plan living area, with sofas to sink into, an HDTV and a wood burner for those chilly evenings. There is also a dining area seating four and a superbly equipped kitchen. The Cowshed has an impressive tall ceiling – a real woodland retreat! The bedroom has kingsize bed, the ideal escape for a peaceful sleep after a day of exploring the area and its many attractions. There is an en-suite shower room plus a further sleeping area in the open plan living space for two more guests with another shower room and toilet. The sleeping arrangement can be made up as two single beds or zipped together to make another comfortable kingsized bed. It has a privacy screen to separate it from the living spaces. Step out through your patio doors to a private decking area, with furniture, umbrella, and a Cadac gas barbeque and your very own private hot tub. There is also a fire pit area where you can grill over wood fired coals and sit and relax with a glass of wine.
    Because the area benefits from unpolluted night skies, when the sun has gone down for the day, sit back, breathe and take in the heavens, the magical Milky way spiralling above you. Bring your wellies as there is a short walk across the field to the accommodation. There is a luggage trolley to make this easy.
