West Middlewick Farm log cabins and a bungalow are located in the heart of the beautiful Devon countryside, a short drive from the town of Tiverton. Set on high ground, these lovely properties make the most of their rural setting with great views of the surrounding countryside. Each property is well appointed and the layout ensures plenty of space for all, with a wood burner to complete that homely feel, as well as a large sitting-out area looking out over the surrounding fields and countryside. The farm features five cosy log cabins and a lovingly furnished bungalow. Each property has name that ties in with the local area and its history; Dartmoor (ref UK12537), Exmoor (ref UK12539), Otter (ref UK12540), Churn (ref UK12536), Dalch (ref UK12538) and The Old Creamery (ref UK12535), which is the bungalow. Dartmoor, Exmoor and Otter have enclosed gardens which are ideal for those bringing pets.

The Old Creamery is ideal for families or a group of friends who want to get together and relax. The property has been thoughtfully and tastefully furnished to ensure a relaxing stay. This lovely bungalow also offers an enclosed patio area, perfect for al-fresco dining.

The owners of the farm are keen for guests to experience life on the farm and there are opportunities to see the cows being milked, feeding the calves and collecting eggs from the chickens. There is also an on-site shop selling local meats and other produce as well as some of the freshest milk around. Guests can enjoy the surrounding land with walks around the farm. There are well-stocked lakes for those who fancy a relaxing day of fishing.

West Middlewick Farm is located just outside the Wiltshire village of Nomansland. With well-maintained roads, the farm is in a great position to get out and about and experience all this lovely area of Devon has to offer.

The popular market town of South Molton has a weekly farmers’ market and a variety of shops, antique and curio shops, pubs and restaurants. Barnstaple, 12 miles, has a theatre, cinema and leisure activities, and places of interest include the Museum of North Devon, Pannier Market, 14th-century St Anne’s Chapel and 18th-century Queen Anne’s Walk. Other family attractions in the area include RHS gardens at Rosemoor, The Big Sheep, The Milky Way, Kilarney Springs, Exmoor Zoo and the Dinosaur Park. Spectacular beaches at Saunton, Croyde, Putsborough, Woolacombe and Westward Ho! are all within easy driving distance. Sailing, windsurfing and fishing can be enjoyed at Tamar Lakes and Wimbleball Lake, or visit the Dartmoor and Exmoor National Parks for a fun filled day of exploration. Beach 33 miles. Located close to North Devon’s spectacular coast, this single-storey cottage is ideal for a lazy weekend or a full week of exploring. Suited to couples, friends and young families, the cottage is very well appointed with two en-suite bedrooms and a light and spacious open plan living area. Located on the outskirts of the quiet village of Kentisbury, next to the owner’s home, the cottage is perfectly positioned for your stay in this stunning part of the British Isles. Nearby Combe Martin has a beach which is great for rock pooling at low tide and the village has a good range of shops and pubs.
There are numerous attractions within easy reach of the property, including the Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park, Watermouth Castle and the Lynton to Lynmouth cliff railway. At Croyde and Woolacombe you will find some of the best and cleanest surf beaches in the country as well as many smaller coves and bays. Exmoor is a short distance away where, on a clear day, the views can be spectacular. Highlights on Exmoor include Withypool, Tarr Stepps and Dunkery Beacon. There are National Trust properties at Arlington and Knightshayes and the RHS gardens at Rosemoor and Great Torrington as well as horse riding, fishing and golf, all available locally. Copingers Cottage takes its name from ’Cruel Copinger’, a notorious 18-century smuggler that once lived here. This delightful, spacious, semi-detached, ground floor cottage is the perfect romantic coastal retreat, nestled within an idyllic rural setting, just a mile from the coastal path. The cottage sits in a peaceful location at the head of the famous Spekes Valley with its majestic waterfall cascading down a shear rock face 60ft, through a series of four smaller falls before finally reaching the sea. There are beautiful views, countryside and walks from the doorstep with an abundance of birds and wildlife to be seen.

Copingers Cottage is beautifully presented and has a spacious living room and cosy wood burner to curl up beside on a cooler evening, along with a private patio to enjoy an al fresco supper on a summer evening. This pretty barn conversion sits within the Hartland Peninsula, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the North Devon coast with many dog friendly, long sandy beaches and hidden coves to explore, where occasionally dolphins can be seen frolicking in the Atlantic surf.

This is an ideal location for touring, walking, beaches or just relaxing. The timeless village of Hartland is only 1½ miles away and has a good selection of village shops and pubs serving food along with a post office, general store, bakery and craft shops. The hamlet of Stoke and the church of St. Nectan, known as the ’Cathedral of North Devon’, is just a short walk and the view from the church tower shows Hartland Abbey set in this beautiful valley with its many enchanting and delightful walks. Bude, 13 miles, has a good selection of shops and restaurants, many specialising in locally caught seafood, along with a golf course, indoor ’splash’ pool, surf schools and bowling. The delightful port town of Bideford, 15 miles, has a good selection of town amenities, restaurants, a weekly market and boat trips to Lundy Island. Coastal walking, cycling, golf, horse riding, fishing, surfing and sailing are all available in this stunning area. Docton Mill, Hartland Quay and Hartland Abbey are close by, along with many pretty fishing villages to explore including nearby Clovelly, Instow and Appledore. Beach 1½ miles. Meadowside Forge is the perfect choice for a relaxing retreat at any time of year. This historic building dates from the 1820’s and was originally a working forge. The pretty, detached, single story, barn conversion has been sympathetically converted and retains many original features with natural stone walls, exposed beamed ceilings and high quality furnishings.
