Within easy reach are the famous Battle of Britain Aircraft Museum and the East Kirby Lancaster Museum, RSPB Gibraltar Point, NT Gunby Hall, Snipedale Nature Reserve and Forest, and the historical city of Lincoln with its cathedral, castle and excellent shopping. Antique hunting can be enjoyed at Horncastle 18 miles away, and Louth offers a lovely traditional market town. Skegness and Ingoldmells with its seaside attractions, is just 2 miles. Carr House farmhouse is set on a working farm, but only minutes away from the attractions of Scarborough and only 1½ miles from the well known surfing beach at Cayton Bay, which also welcomes dog walkers throughout the year. Visitors of all ages will enjoy the large landscaped gardens with a summerhouse, apple trees and barbecue, with a perimeter fence making it ideal for both children and pets. This detached farmhouse is ideal for touring the North Yorkshire coast, from Whitby in the north to Bridlington in the south. A short journey inland takes you to the North York Moors, ’Heartbeat’ Country and Pickering for the steam railway, whilst York for its historic attractions is less than an hour away.

For activities nearby there is Dalby Forest for cycling and tree climbing, Wykeham Lakes for fishing, or the many beaches which offer the chance to just relax, sail, surf, sunbathe, paddle, and build sandcastles. Scarborough is a vibrant seaside resort with lots of family attractions, such as the waterpark, Sealife Centre and crazy golf, as well as a funfair, ice-cream parlours, amusements, and donkey rides. It also boasts superb live entertainment at the Open Air Theatre, with major acts booked each summer, and shows at the Scarborough Spa and the renowned Stephen Joseph Theatre. Beach 2 miles. Corton lies just north of Lowestoft, the most easterly point of the UK. Beachwood is set amongst a secluded woodland setting and has frontline sea views. It is also considered to be the one with the most private, quiet and secluded settings. The photographs of the interiors speak for themselves. The kitchen is well equipped according to our many extremely satisfied guests to date. Tea coffee and milk is provided so guests don’t arrive late and find they can’t make a hot drink. The huge decking stretches to the cliff edge with views onto the award-winning beach. Stunning sunrises each morning which, should you so wish, can be watched while you relax in the hot tub! At night it lights up via a button. String lights have now been installed which are on a timer, which creates a wonderful evening ambience. The beach is never busy which makes for relaxing walks in both summer and winter and is accessed via a lovely short walk through the woods. It is also a dog friendly beach year-round. There are no shops or plastic swings and slides at Ocean Glade. It is very peaceful, and the grounds are beautifully maintained. There is a pub a 10-minute walk into the centre of the village which serves food, plus a small shop which also sells newspapers and a Chinese takeaway that only takes cash. There is a shopping complex a few minutes’ drive away with plenty of free parking.
Beachwood is ideally located to explore both Suffolk and Norfolk. Visit the Norfolk Broads National Park, with its southern gateway, Oulton Broad, just a short drive away, with good restaurants and a wine bar. Lowestoft is an old-fashioned traditional town offering shopping, beaches, two piers with family entertainment and restaurants. The popular town of Southwold is about a 35-minute drive away. There is so much to do and see in the area and you would be advised to google your preferences for details etc. Far too much to write here!

Situated amongst the rolling countryside of the ever popular Isle of Bute, these two renovated cottages (Milton Cottage is detached, Milton Byre adjoins another property) offer an ideal holiday location from which to explore the dramatic coastline and stunning scenery of the island. For the outdoor enthusiast, walking, cycling, golf, fishing, sailing and watersports are in abundance. The wildlife is outstanding with deer, pheasant, otter and eagle readily seen. Visit the Victorian Gothic mansion of Mount Stuart, Bute Museum, Rothesay Castle and the fabulous gardens of Ascog Hall and Ardencraig. Many events throughout the year, including the now famous annual Jazz Festival and the spectacular Highland Games, traditional agricultural shows, concerts and art festivals. Shops and pub 2 miles.

This super, unique, detached beach house includes two converted railway carriages, one of only a few to be seen along the south coast and enjoys a fabulous location directly on the seafront. Step onto the pebble beach via your private gate from the enclosed garden and enjoy miles of pebble/sandy beach – a haven for all ages, including children and dogs all year round! From the front it is deceptive, having been substantially extended, but once you approach the side entrance, the original features can be easily seen. Inside, the traditional carriage doors remain, and many of the rooms are set inside the former train carriages. Southern Bell offers tastefully styled, light, and airy holiday accommodation for families - with an enclosed patio garden, plenty of off-road parking and a short walk from the local shops, eateries/pubs, and harbour/sailing club. Hayling Island is renowned for its kitesurfing and sailing activities and local paddle - boarding and windsurfing lessons are available close by. Every year there is a national kitesurfing event, and a plethora of sailing and nautical activity can be seen along the coastline. Many activities can be enjoyed locally, including golf, fishing, cycling, boat trips and scenic walks along the water’s edge or along the South Downs National Park which are within easy reach. Chichester with its beautiful cathedral, festival theatre, pedestrianised shopping, leisure centre, Roman Villa and Goodwood or Fontwell races is worthy of a visit. Visit Portsmouth with waterside dining, ferry trips to the Isle of Wight, designer outlets, leisure facilities, Spinnaker Tower, Historic Dockyard including HMS Victory and the Mary Rose, or the maritime history at Southampton. Winchester, with its cathedral and abbey, and The New Forest are within easy driving distance. Plenty of National Trust homes and gardens can also be discovered nearby. Beach 5 yards. This three-bedroomed chocolate-box Grade II thatched cottage sits within Cockington Country Park, 450 acres of heaven less than a mile from the sea. The cottage has three good-sized bedrooms and can comfortably sleep six adults. The master bedroom has a kingsize bed and an en-suite shower room, the second bedroom has a super kingsize bed that can be split to form two single beds (please ensure this is requested if required). The third bedroom has a double bed. Whilst a cot is not provided, the first two bedrooms can accommodate a travel cot. Two z-beds are available and can be sited in rooms 1 and 2.
Between Easter and October, we operate a Tea Garden at the rear of the property between 10am and 5pm. Your privacy is not impinged, your courtyard garden is private and the Tea Garden’s kitchen, although in the same building, is secured from the rest of the cottage. Weavers cottage is situated in a fantastic position for exploring the historic and well-regarded village of Cockington.
Not to mention being just a stone’s throw from Torquay seafront and harbourside with its array of bars/restaurants. There are plenty of beautiful nearby walks and the cottage is situated right in the heart of the English Riviera for ease of access exploring everything the South Hams has to offer.

Just a short drive away from Newborough forest, this charming, detached gate lodge has been renovated to provide spacious and comfortable accommodation, with a lovely enclosed garden boasting views over the countryside. The location is perfect for year round holidays, and is close to many attractions including sea world, National Trust Plas Newydd, Beaumaris Castle, RSPB centre, butterfly farm and boat rides to watch Puffins. Close to South Pembrokeshire’s dramatic coastline with Freshwater East, Barafundle Beach, Manorbier and of course the 186 miles of Pembrokeshire Coast National Park footpath running close by. Pembroke is steeped in history and is complete with a stunning medieval castle which was the birthplace of Henry the VII with the Pembroke River and mill pond surrounding the castle, here you can enjoy a freshly brewed coffee and take in the gift shop. You may prefer a spot of lunch in one of a plethora of eateries within Pembroke with home grown food and locally brewed beer. Take a stroll on the bustling high street and uncover all the charm this town has to offer, with galleries, coffee shops and craft shops to name a few.
Conway Cottage is an end terrace of five properties set within a quiet residential lane overlooking the lovely Pembroke Commons Parkland and offers an open plan kitchen, dining and living room, which is ideal for socialising after cooking that special meal. Throughout, the property has been finished to a good standard and lovingly furnished, and to the rear enjoy some fresh air with a small private courtyard backing onto the original town walls.
For keen golfers, South Pembrokeshire Golf Club is only 10 minutes away from Conway Cottage or travelling over the River Cleddau enjoy Neyland Marina where you can relax and watch the boats bobbing in the water. Cycle on the track that takes you inland to Haverfordwest. Locally the famous coastal resort of Tenby is 30 minutes away and is perfect for a family days out with sublime beaches, cobbled streets, boat trips and the Cistercian Caldey Island, one of Britain’s holy islands. For thrill seekers Oakwood, Wales’ largest theme park, Heatherton World of Adventure and Folly Farm Adventure Zoo all offer the perfect day out for your family and are within 30 minutes.
