The Gunton Arms, Cromer
A traditional pub with rooms set in a historic deer park near Cromer. Ivor Braka bought the pub in 2009 and Stuart and Simone Tattershill, formerly at Mark Hix’s restaurant in London are at the helm. Quirky and cosy with fabulous art – there are works by Tracy Emin, Damien Hurst and Lucien Freud – and delicious food using seasonal produce using their own venison and seafood. Expect delicious Sunday roasts, a warm doggie welcome and a chance to walk around the deer park after lunch.
The Globe Inn, Wells-next-the-Sea
Overlooking a pretty, leafy Georgian square in the dog-friendly seaside town of Wells-next-the-Sea, The Globe Inn is perfectly placed for an adventure with your best furry friend on the beautiful North Norfolk coast. The pub and dining room have been beautifully updated with an eclectic mix of travel ephemera and your dog is welcome to dine with you in the restaurant or bar there is a brand-new menu and an enthusiastic team, looking forward to welcoming you and your canine companion. Expect plenty of locally sourced dishes including Holkham Venison Terrine, Brancaster Mussel Chowder, and Roast Swanningham beef sirloin or pork belly.
The Dabbling Duck, Great Massingham
Situated in the middle of the village of Great Massingham, surrounded by fields and a short drive from the North Norfolk coast. An oak-beamed space with a definite wow factor, it is super dog welcoming with fantastic food and ales, where locals and their dogs mingle with dog-owning visitors and the food ranges from casual pub fayre to sophisticated seasonal dishes including Brancaster smokehouse salmon, woodfired pizza, local game dishes and delicious roasts.
The Ship Inn, Mundesley
Overlooking the golden sands of Mundesley Beach on the North Norfolk coast, this ‘restaurant with rooms’, is the perfect destination for eating, drinking and relaxing with your best furry friend by your side.. Dating back 300 years, it is perhaps the oldest pub on the Norfolk coast. Wells-next-the-Sea Beach Cafe, Wells-next-the-Sea
Wells-next-the-sea Beach Cafe is a fun and vibrant place to eat, drink and relax any time of year. Soak up the sun in the summer, sitting outside with your best furry friend with an ice cream and cosy up by the log fire in the winter with a marshmallow-topped hot chocolate. The cafe is on the doorstep of Wells Beach, with its famed array of colourful beach huts. With fresh, local produce at its best, they offer a tempting selection of snacks, lunches, and treats for you and your dog.
The Buckinghamshire Arms, Blickling
Known in Norfolk as The Bucks Arms, this traditional 17th-century dog-friendly coaching inn is nestled beside the grounds of the Blickling Estate, the pub itself also has a large garden, perfect for dogs to play. Your dog will love it here as they can relax with their own drink and treats, and there’s even dog-friendly ice cream on the menu. The menu includes favourites like Slow braised Swanington beef cheeks or Roast chicken stuffed with Norfolk brie. Their Sunday roast is also a winner.
The Victoria Inn, Holkham
Located moments away from the golden sands of Holkham Beach at the gates of Holkham Park, all dining areas at The Victoria Inn accept dogs and we recommend eating in the orangery which offers fabulous views of the Holkham National Nature Reserve. The restaurant boasts a menu carefully curated to showcase fresh local ingredients from the north Norfolk coast., with many of the ingredients coming from the Holkham Estate. The beef comes from the nature reserve and the lamb from sheep which graze locally.
The Lawns, Holt
The Lawns is a dog-friendly Georgian house, with a relaxed dog-friendly bar and restaurant, charming bedrooms, a large sunny terrace and south facing garden. Set in the delightful Norfolk town of Holt – an elegant Georgian town full of stylish dog-friendly cafes and shops the Lawns is just three miles away from the spectacular North Norfolk coast and the nearby heathland. The Banningham Crown, Banningham
Located in the village of Banningham, this white painted 17th century is delightful and welcoming offering comfort food and exposed beams and open fires. Perfect for a visit with your four-legged friend throughout the year – in the winter it is super cosy with roaring fires whilst in the summer you and your dog can sit in the lovely sheltered garden and patio. Super dog-friendly the pub serves up tasty food with locally sourced menus seven days a week.
The Carpenters Arms, Wighton
Just three miles outside the seaside town of Wells-next-the-Sea, the Carpenters Arms mixes modern-day comfort and original features to create a warm inviting atmosphere throughout the bar and restaurant – where dogs are warmly welcomed. Their chefs create innovative dishes using the finest, locally sourced ingredients. Along with serving the full menu daily, they serve specials which change daily. The bar offers a diverse wine list, local ales and spirits and delicious roasts which include slow-roasted Norfolk beef and vegan nut roast.
