Dog-Friendly Nearby

The Peak District is on the doorstep as well as the dog-friendly Longshaw Estate, Stanage Edge, Castleton, and Hope Valley. The Longshaw Estate has wonderful ancient woodland to explore with the dog-friendly Fox House pub nearby. Three walks from the door are the Derwentside stroll; a 2 and a half mile pleasant riverside and woodland amble - the Padley Gorge and Bole Hill - and a 3 and a half mile moderate walk with millstones and a rocky valley to explore. And for active dogs who prefer a more challenging walk, there is the Stanage Edge walk which is 6 and a quarter miles long visiting Little John's Grave and Robin Hood's Cave along the way.
