A narrow lane leads the short distance from the pretty village of Crosthwaite to Low Cartmell Fold. From the slate porch the front door opens to this beautiful traditional and characterful Lakeland farmhouse, with wonderful period features. The sitting room with its feature oak panel wall is presented with comfortable sofas arranged around the log burning stove and TV. Across the hallway the dining room includes a stunning feature fireplace and large family dining table. To the rear of the cottage is the large farmhouse kitchen is equipped to a very high standard and includes a large, social, island unit and breakfast table. For those wanting to relax with a good book there is a welcoming snug with club room style wing back chairs. The four bedrooms are located on the first floor, two benefit from ensuite facilities and are complemented by a family shower room. Outside there is private parking for three cars (two on the drive and one in the garage) and the garage also offers secure storage for mountain bikes and outdoor gear. The pretty garden wraps around the cottages and includes two patios both with outdoor bistro furniture. Set in the rolling countryside of the Lyth Valley, guests can relax in the beautiful surrounding, walk to the nearby gastro pub – The Punchbowl.
