Kings Head Hotel, Richmond, North Yorkshire

The King’s Head, in Richmond, North Yorkshire is a super dog-friendly hotel. Built-in 1717 as a gentleman’s townhouse, its fine Georgian architecture is matched by its warm and relaxed ambience. It is thought to have been named in honor of Charles II. Comfy and characterful, the dog-friendly rooms to the front of the building are spacious with traditional furnishings and retain plenty of Georgian features, one of which was used by Franz Liszt performed a piano recital. Richmond itself has many attractions including a Norman castle situated above the banks of the River Swale and the ruins of Easby Abbey.
