It has wonderful river walks nearby and offers a great base to visit Windsor Castle, dog-friendly Basildon Gardens, Henley and the Chilterns. Dog-Friendly Nearby

The Elephant is situated on the Thames Path and there's a lovely riverside walk that runs from Pangbourne to Purley. The walk follows the Thames path downstream through grassy fields and leafy paths. On the way there are some lovely dog-friendly cafes to stop off in the delightful village of Pangbourne. The Royal town of Windsor is close by as is Henley and the lovely gardens of dog-friendly Basildon Park. You could also explore the Chiltern Hills or the Ridgeway National Trails.
