It was the extraordinary vision of Walter Edward of the Guinness brewing family (1st Baron Moyne), youngest son of Edward Cecil Guinness, and his wife Lady Evelyn Hilda Stuart Erskine Guinness that created Bailiffscourt in the 1920s. Set in glorious parkland, leading to Climping beach Bailiffscourt is the perfect place for a dog-friendly pet-away in the village of Climping, West Sussex.

Bailiffscourt offers 39 dog-friendly bedrooms across the main house, thatched houses and cottages. Bailiffscourt was originally created as a hideaway for the Guinness family whose architect searched the country for original stone, woodwork, windows and fireplaces in order to create this stunning country house. Now a privately owned hotel, Bailiffscourt has been lovingly restored. Full of character and charm, you will find an inner rose-clad courtyard and an underground passageway. Wonderfully positioned just a five-minute walk away from Climping Beach, your dog is free to roam at any time of year on one of the most natural, unspoilt beaches in West Sussex.
