Glastonbury is full of eclectic shops as well as bars, restaurants and museums to explore, where you can enjoy the 36 acres of Glastonbury Abbey and soak up the legends and myths of King Arthur, after learning all about the ruins from the excellent museum. Hop in the car and visit the designer outlet at Clarks Village in Street for some retail bargains, head to Cheddar to visit the famous gorge and sample some Yes Cheddar Cheese or see if you can find the Witch at Wookey Hole Caves!
    The smallest city in the UK, Wells is definitely worth a visit, especially on market days, Wednesday and Saturday, when the streets come alive with local stalls by the cathedral.
