Nestling on the edge of Beddgelert Forest but just 5 minute drive into the village, the property is wonderfully secluded but never isolated. Located idyllically adjacent to the Lôn Gwyrfai path, Glan-y-Gors offers many welcoming features with the architectural styling continuing to the interior, providing designer inspired features throughout. The impressive vaulted ceilings of the living room and hallway reflect the grand views of the surrounding mountains. The kitchen and bedroom, whilst spacious, remain cosy and comfortable. The patio door opens onto a large canopied terrace with further spectacular mountain views including Moel Hebog and the surrounding forest. The canopy, which is an extension of the vaulted roof, allows you to sit out in comfort, enjoying the woodland garden even when the weather may be inclement.
The master bedroom enjoys a luxury en-suite with rainfall shower and heated mirror. Underfloor gas central heating is a feature throughout the property which is computer controlled for your comfort. Room temperatures can be individually adjusted to your personal preference. The spectacular tunnel woodburner in the living/dining room gives a cosy glow on cold nights. The kitchen is fully equipped and benefits from woodland views through picture windows and a westerly facing patio to enjoy the evening sun.

As you step out of your front door, you are greeted by the splendour of the Hafod Ruffydd waterfall with spectacular views of the nearby mountains. Miles of forest walks through stunning scenery await you. Picturesque Beddgelert village is nearby and the challenging routes up Snowdon a walk away. The Welsh Highland Railway meanders through the forest and the occasional whistles of the stream trains are always a joy to hear.
After a day exploring the local countryside and attractions, what better than to come back to the comfort in your own forest haven. On clear nights the stars seem to shine even brighter in the ink black sky and you will fall asleep to the gentle sound of the river passing by or the hoot of the owls in the forest. This delightful log cabin has been thoughtfully furnished to offer a cosy and welcoming feel, with enough room for all the family. On a covered veranda in the garden you will find the blissful hot tub, which offers the perfect place to relax at the end of the day, with views of the pleasant enclosed garden. Both bedrooms offer the flexibility of zip and link twin beds which can be made into super kingsize beds (on request). The owners have thoughtfully provided complimentary toiletries should you forget your own!
Bring your bucket and spade as the glorious sandy beach at Morfa Dyffryn is just a mile down the road and offers superb views over to the Rhinog Mountains. For the more adventurous, Zip World and Bounce Below at Blaenau Ffestiniog are a thrill seekers delight, whilst the famous Ffestiniog Railway and mighty Harlech Castle are also well worth a visit. From Barmouth, why not hire a bike and cycle across Barmouth Bridge and along the Mawddach Trail to Penmaenpool and Dolgellau? Beach 1 mile. Shops 300 yards, pubs and restaurants ½ mile.

Located in the coastal village of Fairbourne, this holiday property has a large lawned garden with great views of the mountains, yet is only a couple of minutes walk from the lovely, quiet, two-mile long sandy beach, over stones. Many of the area’s beaches are dog friendly and Fairlawns can accommodate up to 2 dogs. The property makes a great base for exploring the area. Take a trip on the little Fairbourne Railway out to the headland and cross the Mawddach Estuary by ferry, and visit Barmouth where you can try crabbing in the harbour, or stroll across the famous Barmouth Bridge. Imagine yourself climbing Cader Idris, exploring the ruins of Castell-y-Bere, or riding behind a steam engine on the friendly Talyllyn Railway and hopping off the train to explore the waterfalls at Dolgoch or Nant Gwernol. Visit the pretty market town of Dolgellau, go walking or mountain biking at Coed-Y-Brenin Forest Park, then relax in the garden with a glass of wine, watching the sun set.

Take a stroll down the marine walk into Conwy where you’ll find an abundance of places to eat, pubs and independent shops and all are within walking distance, so park up an relax in this historic area. Talking of history, there’s Conwy Castle, a United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization World Heritage Site. The Smallest House in Great Britain is down on the picturesque harbour, from here you can take a leisurely river cruise. Bodlondeb park is also close by a great spot for walking the dog. There’s Plas Mawr, an Elizabethan Town House and Aberconwy House a Medieval Merchants House. A short drive of around 10 minutes and you’ll discover the little known yet award winning Conwy Vineyard well worth a visit for any wine novice or connoisseur. You’re also within easy reach of the Snowdonia National Park, the bustling seaside resort Llandudno, Surf Snowdonia, Zip world and not forgetting glorious coastal paths and many walks. Perched at the top end of the coastal village of Aberdovey with spectacular sea views from every angle, Rockcliffe is a newly renovated and uniquely designed house just 5 minutes’ walk from the spectacular beach of Aberdovey. Providing a magical, light-filled space and with all the amenities to ensure a perfect stay, you will be guaranteed a luxurious getaway whatever the season and weather. The main open-plan living area is stylish and airy with a cosy log burner and underfloor heating which will keep you snug throughout the cooler months, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the company of all those travelling with you. The well-equipped kitchen, living room and dining area all blend into a light and seamless space where you can chill out in front of the Smart TV, create delicious meals for all to enjoy or just marvel at the stunning views from the open-plan dining area with a large 2 leaf table with seating for 10, where you can gaze out to sea over a glass of wine. When it’s time to unwind, five spacious bedrooms await, the first being conveniently located on the ground floor, which features plenty of storage space, and there’s a shower room next door. Upstairs are the remaining four, two doubles one with an en-suite shower room. The remaining two comprise an adult-size bunk bed and the other with two single beds, for all possibilities.
Large doors open the whole of the property to the stunning patio and private sun deck, bringing the outside inside, with magnificent views over the Dyfi Estuary. The property is built into the rock and so the deck feels elevated to give the feeling of being high, overlooking the dramatic coastline below. On the deck, you will find something for every mood sunbeds, dining furniture, a BBQ, all will provide you with a luxurious holiday experience and unforgettable memories. For more entertainment at the house there’s a games room with pool table, comfortable sofa, and wall mounted LCD TV with Freeview making it fun for your younger guests to enjoy.
Rockcliffe is in the village of Aberdovey and from the balcony you can see the championship links golf course opposite, which is a must play if you’re a golfer. Aberdovey is full of things to explore on foot. There are plenty of independent shops, cafés, bars and lovely restaurants to enjoy. The beach is very popular with many water sports on offer. You can book a paddle board lesson, go surfing, sailing or even kite surfing. If the tides permit, you can even stroll along the sand all the way to Tywyn. In Tywyn visit Talyllyn Railway where you can experience a traditional journey through the Welsh countryside or venture further afield to Dolgoch Waterfall. Other attractions include Corris Mine Explorers where you can partake in excursions into an underground mine, Fairbourne Railway or how about the challenging hike up Cader Idris if you’re feeling active? Sea fishing is also available nearby.

An immaculately presented lodge, new from September 2021, nestled in a backdrop of mature woodland trees. Once inside there is a spacious open plan lounge, kitchen and dining area all stylishly furnished with your comfort in mind. There’s a twin bedroom and separate family bathroom with modern shower. The kingsize bedroom has an en-suite shower room along with a dressing area. Outside is perfect for some wildlife spotting with spacious decking and a woodland view. A fantastic spot for some bird watching, the bird table on the decking can be seen from the lounge patio doors, with bird food provided you are sure to see an array of local birds visiting. On site there is a popular restaurant set in a wonderful Victorian Manor House, Aberdunant Hall Hotel 4 star is walking distance from the lodge, be sure to book to avoid disappointment! In addition, there are lovely dog walks available as soon as your step outside of the lodge.
For amenities you’ll find the village Tremadog, just over 2 miles distance, here there’s a convenience store and a couple of traditional Welsh Pubs to visit, and a fish and chip shop. Situated in the Snowdonia National Park, and just outside Porthmadog a busy harbour town, home to the famous Welsh Highland Railway. You’re ideally placed for enjoying the delights of the area. Mount Snowdon, the highest mountain in Wales, is a magnet for climbers and walkers. The area has an excellent range of outdoor pursuits, historic castles and family attractions. The picturesque Italian village of Portmeirion, is well worth a visit, as is the glorious sandy beach at Black Rock Sands, great for all ages, you can drive your car onto the vast expanse of sands. The picturesque village of Beddgelert is less than 10 minutes’ drive a must visit, with some truly special scenery and walks to enjoy for all abilities, be sure to read up on the legend of Gelert before your visit. Bounce Below underground trampolining and the Antur Stiniog bike trails which is located Blaenau Ffestiniog. Adventure Zip World is only 12 miles away and has a wide array of activities. Or enjoy adventure park snowdonia which is 29 miles from The Hollies Lodge and boasts something for everyone including surfing and climbing walls Beach 4¼ miles. The local village pub is only 1 mile away and there are more pubs 2¼ miles away. Restaurant 500 yards.

The real stand out feature in this property is the cinema room, with seating for everyone to relax and enjoy a movie in front of the 100 inch projector screen, this room also doubles up as a playroom. A separate games room with multi-functional 7ft games table for pool and air hockey, and a separate foosball table. The game/cinema rooms can be found in the annex above the garage - Please note that elderly, small children and those with limited mobility may need assistance and support with some of the stairs. This leisure area is accessed through the courtyard area of the property and also houses a ground floor accessible bedroom and wet room. Whilst this bedroom is accessible, the main house ground floor does have a couple of steps to navigate, blocks to make a ramp will be available. Please note the doorways into the main house measure 80cm in width. The main house has a separate lounge with ample comfy seating and warming log burner perfect for those chillier evenings. A fully equipped kitchen and dining room with space for all the family to sit and enjoy an evening meal. The bedrooms have been stylishly furnished in a boutique style with quality mattresses and furnishings.
Porthmadog is a busy harbour town, home to the Welsh Highland Steam Railway. Within easy reach is Black Rock Sands where you’ll find miles of sweeping sands and dunes, and Portmeirion, an enchanting Italian-style village. A short drive is Harlech with its imposing Castle and extensive beach. Nearby Blaenau Ffestiniog, an adrenaline junkie’s delight with Zip World, the largest zip wire zone in the world, Bounce Below, where you can bounce on trampoline nets deep underground in an old slate cavern, and the Stiniog mountain bike trails. The area has something for everyone of all ages, from scenic walking routes, bike trails, epic climbing, to a whole host of water sports on offer. Beach 1 mile. Pub and restaurant 100 yards.

Enjoy a holiday at this charming cottage which has been carefully restored to showcase a variety of original features, including a large inglenook fireplace housing a Clearview wood burner. The Ancient Houses Commission recently dendro-chronologically dated the timbers of Hen Dy holiday cottage to be from 1550.
A very good local pub is just a mile away from the cottage on the main road. To the west, the Llyn Peninsula offers many coves, harbours and vast stretches of safe, sandy beaches. Black Rock sands is the closest. The coast path is 84 miles of diverse landscapes including open countryside, wild heath and coastal features.

The nearby beach at Llandanwg is just two minutes by car – great for bucket and spade holidays, or anglers keen to explore the coastal fishing venues. And if you don’t get lucky with some catch you can always enjoy some food from the café by the sand dunes! Within walking distance is Llanfair Slate Caverns and Farm Park, whilst a short drive brings you to the village of Harlech, perched dramatically on a rocky outcrop with its Edward I built castle (a UNESCO World Heritage Site). Here there are pubs, cafés, the worlds steepest street (as verified by Guinness World Records in 2019) and a spectacular sandy beach.. Golfing can also be enjoyed at Royal St David’s. This nationally and internationally renowned golf course has stunning views of the historic Harlech Castle and is ranked in the top 100 golf courses in the world! Explore the coastline using the Cambrian Coast railway line, visit Porthmadog, home to the famous Ffestiniog Railway, or nearby Portmeirion, whilst the quarry town of Blaenau Ffestiniog now has plenty to attract visitors with Zipworld and Bounce Below providing thrills for all the family.

Nestled in the Conwy valley, just down the road is Betws Y Coed the gateway to the Snowdonia National Park. For the adventurous, you’ll find Surf Snowdonia, Tree Top Climbing and the Marin Bike trails of Gwydir Forrest all just a few miles away. In the opposite direction is the National Trust’s Bodnant Gardens, Conwy Vineyard, and the historic walled town of Conwy, which is home to a fabulous harbour and many historic buildings. You will be perfectly situated to explore the region.
