Dylasau Cottage is detached, set down a quiet, woodland, country lane, at the top of a gently terraced garden. About a mile away are many fine waterfalls, including the Conwy Falls and the Machno Falls (near the mountain-ringed village of Penmachno). Nearby are the 14 peaks of Snowdon, golf, good horse riding and fishing to enjoy whilst there is a delightful farm trail on the owner’s farm close by. Reputedly the best rock climbing in the world is available near to Capel Curig, in addition to canoeing and skiing. The nearby village of Betws-y-Coed, the gateway to Snowdonia, has much to offer, including the fabulous, family-friendly treetop nets at Zip World Fforest. A short drive takes you to Blaenau Ffestiniog which offers adrenaline junkies the options of trying Europe’s longest zip lines, or Bounce Below, where you can bounce on trampoline nets in an old slate cavern. This lovely, detached farmhouse sits in rolling countryside within the beautiful Snowdonia National Park just outside the little hamlet of Rhyduchaf and is two miles from the historic market town of Bala. The farmhouse offers four good sized bedrooms and there is plenty of space to relax. There is a pleasant yard where guests can relax with a glass of wine or it makes a great place to dine al fresco.
Bala offers a choice of places to eat out with plenty of cafés and eateries for you to choose from. You can walk straight from the door or hop in the car to explore the area. The National White Water Centre is close by, where you can experience the thrill of rafting or canyoning, whilst more sedate activities may be found on the shores of Bala Lake which is close by. Take a trip on a steam train on the narrow gauge railway along the lake shore between Bala and Llanuwchllyn, have a day at the beach over on the coast at Barmouth, or try some Welsh foodie delights at the award-winning Rhug Estate Organic Farm Shop at Corwen. Further afield in Blaenau Ffestiniog is the incredible Bounce Below where the whole family can try bouncing on trampoline nets deep underground in an old slate cavern, and Zip World, the largest zip wire zone in the world where you can fly high over the quarries whilst enjoying the spectacular view as you try not to scream! This leisure area is accessed through the courtyard area of the property and also houses a ground floor accessible bedroom and wet room. Whilst this bedroom is accessible, the main house ground floor does have a couple of steps to navigate, blocks to make a ramp will be available. Please note the doorways into the main house measure 80cm in width. The main house has a separate lounge with ample comfy seating and warming log burner perfect for those chillier evenings. A fully equipped kitchen and dining room with space for all the family to sit and enjoy an evening meal. Porthmadog is a busy harbour town, home to the Welsh Highland Steam Railway. Within easy reach is Black Rock Sands where you’ll find miles of sweeping sands and dunes, and Portmeirion, an enchanting Italian-style village. A short drive is Harlech with its imposing Castle and extensive beach. Nearby Blaenau Ffestiniog, an adrenaline junkie’s delight with Zip World, the largest zip wire zone in the world, Bounce Below, where you can bounce on trampoline nets deep underground in an old slate cavern, and the Stiniog mountain bike trails. Large doors open the whole of the property to the stunning patio and private sun deck, bringing the outside inside, with magnificent views over the Dyfi Estuary. The property is built into the rock and so the deck feels elevated to give the feeling of being high, overlooking the dramatic coastline below. On the deck, you will find something for every mood sunbeds, dining furniture, a BBQ, all will provide you with a luxurious holiday experience and unforgettable memories. Rockcliffe is in the village of Aberdovey and from the balcony you can see the championship links golf course opposite, which is a must play if you’re a golfer. Aberdovey is full of things to explore on foot. There are plenty of independent shops, cafés, bars and lovely restaurants to enjoy. The beach is very popular with many water sports on offer. You can book a paddle board lesson, go surfing, sailing or even kite surfing. If the tides permit, you can even stroll along the sand all the way to Tywyn. In Tywyn visit Talyllyn Railway where you can experience a traditional journey through the Welsh countryside or venture further afield to Dolgoch Waterfall. Other attractions include Corris Mine Explorers where you can partake in excursions into an underground mine, Fairbourne Railway or how about the challenging hike up Cader Idris if you’re feeling active? Sea fishing is also available nearby.

There are miles of idyllic coastline to explore, with picture perfect beaches and dunes you’ll be spoilt for choice. The property features a games room and a garden where you can sit out and enjoy al fresco dining. There is also an outside toilet with a wall fixed clothes line for guests to use and a recently added electric car charging point. Just down the road you’ll find Harlech, home to the imposing UNESCO world heritage site Harlech Castle. Bustling Barmouth is also only a short distance, take a walk along the promenade and indulge in some fish and chips. An iconic feature of the town is Barmouth Bridge, over 150-year-old railway viaduct across the Mawddach Estuary. It is half a mile in length with a wooden promenade suitable for pedestrians or cyclists which now forms part of the Wales Coast Path and the Lon Las Cymru Cycle Network. Nantcol waterfalls are just 5 miles away and offer a great day out, a perfect place for a family picnic whilst playing in the stream.
