Bring your bucket and spade as the glorious sandy beach at Morfa Dyffryn is just a mile down the road and offers superb views over to the Rhinog Mountains. For the more adventurous, Zip World and Bounce Below at Blaenau Ffestiniog are a thrill seekers delight, whilst the famous Ffestiniog Railway and mighty Harlech Castle are also well worth a visit. From Barmouth, why not hire a bike and cycle across Barmouth Bridge and along the Mawddach Trail to Penmaenpool and Dolgellau? Beach 1 mile. Shops 300 yards, pubs and restaurants ½ mile.

Aberdovey is a thriving seaside fishing village with brightly painted houses which seem to cling to the shoreline, and has a history dating back hundreds of years. Golfers are also well catered for with an 18-hole championship golf course located at the western end of the village, which welcomes visiting players. A fully equipped kitchen and dining room with space for all the family to sit and enjoy an evening meal. Porthmadog is a busy harbour town, home to the Welsh Highland Steam Railway. Within easy reach is Black Rock Sands where you’ll find miles of sweeping sands and dunes, and Portmeirion, an enchanting Italian-style village. A short drive is Harlech with its imposing Castle and extensive beach. Nearby Blaenau Ffestiniog, an adrenaline junkie’s delight with Zip World, the largest zip wire zone in the world, Bounce Below, where you can bounce on trampoline nets deep underground in an old slate cavern, and the Stiniog mountain bike trails. A short drive of under 10 minutes and you’ll discover the little known, yet award winning Conwy Vineyard, well worth a visit for any wine novice or connoisseur. You are also within easy reach of the Snowdonia National Park, the bustling seaside resort of Llandudno, Surf Snowdonia and Zip World. There really is something for everyone in this fabulous area.

Y Llaethdy is located on the edge of the seaside village of Llwyngwril, sat in 4.5 acres on the owners land in the Snowdonia National Park, with just a 10-minute stroll down to beach. This semi-detached cottage offers a kitchen/dining room, a conservatory with dining area and stunning view, and a small bunk room on the ground floor.
