Named after the Cornish word for love, Kerensa is a three bedroom stone cottage sleeping six. 

This attractive, detached, single-storey holiday cottage stands on the banks of the trout-filled River Avon. Occasional dry fly fishing can be arranged with prior arrangement with the owner. There will be an additional charge for this.

The surrounding area is full of picturesque villages, and across the river is the 16th-century Heale House with 8 acres of beautiful gardens. Nearby is Stonehenge, and the lesser known neolithic site of Woodhenge. Salisbury has Britain’s finest medieval cathedral with the best preserved original Magna Carta. Shop, pub 1 mile.

The sea and the beach are so close, you can almost touch them. Blue Beach House sits in a prime position over looking Ilfracombe’s picturesque and bustling harbour. Seek out Damian Hirst’s ’Verity’ sculpture - a great topic of conversation. The Victorian Tunnels Beaches are worth a visit and are also a sought after wedding venue. A walk up to St Nicholas Chapel will give you a great view over the harbour and town. Enjoy a spot of crabbing from the pier and there a numerous sightseeing and fishing trips leaving from the harbour.
During your stay, there is plenty to see and do in the local area and slightly further afield. Good days out include Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park, Watermouth Castle and the Lynton to Lynmouth cliff railway. At Croyde and Woolacombe you will find some of the best and cleanest surf beaches in the country as well as many smaller coves and bays. Exmoor is a short distance away and on a clear day the views can be spectacular. There are National Trust properties at Arlington and Knightshayes and the RHS gardens at Rosemoor, Great Torrington. Wrentham is a delightful village and being close to Southwold along the Suffolk Heritage Coast. The village has a good range of amenities including a village shop and post office, two pubs serving good food and Chinese takeaway. For those that prefer to eat out, you will be delighted with the gastro pubs within the surrounding area, and there is a pub serving good food just a 1-minute walk away. Beach 2 miles. Shewte Farm is an elegant, Grade II listed, galleried stone barn and has a floor-to-ceiling picture window offering spectacular views over Dartmoor.
