Just a few minutes drive from the coast and you’ll find this cottage at Seatonhill. Located on a working arable farm the cottage provides the perfect escape combining modern comfort with a taste of country living. Kids will love the tractors working in the fields and from time to time there will even be some animals keeping the grass nice and neat! Just a few minutes drive and the golden sandy beaches of East Lothian can be found with Seton Sands being the closest. The location is excellent for doing some exploring. From the National Museum of Flight just along the road and Edinburgh City Centre around 30 minutes in the car or even less from Longniddry Train Station.
The 3 bedroom cottage is ideal for a family of 5 with two dogs. The 3 bedrooms are comfortable and well presented and have been fitted as one single, one king size and one twin which could be altered to provide a super kingsize. The shower room has a larger double shower base and again has been well finished with a touch of modern style. The living room will prove to be a favourite place for the whole family with the wood burning stove and smart TV - just in case the weather isn’t the nicest! Beach House, situated on Hampshire’s Hayling Island has two double bedrooms on the first floor, one with spectacular views and sounds of the ocean to enjoy. There is a third bedroom on the ground floor with a single bed. Making the most of the views, the owners have created a fantastic living space with bi-folding doors straight out of the living into the beach facing garden and a dining room with further ocean views- perfect spot for an evening meal.

Hayling Island is well known for its sailing activities, it is sheltered by the Isle of Wight, making it ideal for water sport activities. It is renowned for its windsurfing, kayaking, power boating, jet ski-ing, kitesurfing and wake boarding. Local paddle boating and windsurfing lessons are available close by. Every year there is a national windsurfing event, and a hive of sailing and nautical activity can be seen along the coastline. For those that want to join in, you will find two paddle boards and two long boards in the garage that can be used.

For those who enjoy walking and cycling why not visit the Hayling Billy Trail – an historical multi-use trail spanning the full west coast of the island and used to be the original route of the “Hayling Billy” train line. Two bikes are also available to use.

Many activities can be enjoyed locally for all ages, including a seaside railway and a small amusement park for the children. For the sports enthusiast, Seacourt is also worth a visit, with five racket sports including real tennis. Also, nearby activities including golf, horse riding, boat trips and scenic walks along the water’s edge or scenic walks along the South Downs National Park which are within easy reach. Chichester with its beautiful cathedral, festival theatre, pedestrianised shopping, leisure centre, Roman Villa and Goodwood or Fontwell races, it’s definitely worthy of a visit.

Visit Portsmouth with waterside dining, ferry trips to the Isle of Wight, designer outlets, Natural Museum, leisure facilities, Spinnaker Tower, HMS Victory, or the maritime history at Southampton. Winchester with its cathedral, abbey and The New Forest are within easy driving distance. Plenty of National Trust homes and gardens can also be discovered nearby.

This cottage provides a comfy and cosy base for guests to explore this fantastic largely rural area and all its attractions and history. This Grade II listed, 300 years old, stone-built, semi-detached cottage was built 300 years ago in 1705 as a bakery serving the then highway outside which was part of the Great North Road to Scotland. The cottage is a little quirky and rustic, with quite high ceilings due to its origin as a shop. The cottage is close to the A1 Trunk Road making it easily accessible to the north and south. For those who want to use public transport, there is a bus stop just 85 yards away with buses to Grantham with its station on the East Coast London to Scotland main rail line route.

Here you can enjoy water sports, bird watching, walking, and cycling. Take a trip aboard the Rutland Belle Cruiser, visit the famous ospreys at Egleton Nature Reserve, or browse around Barnsdale Gardens, designed by the late Geoff Hamilton. Other attractions within easy reach includes The Richard III Visitor Centre in Leicester, RAF Coningsby Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Visitor Centre, and the Lincolnshire Aviation Museum at East Kirby. Further down the coast less than a half hour drive away is the walled harbour town of Conwy, home to the smallest house in Britain and the imposing UNESCO world heritage site of Conwy Castle.
