Masham, renowned for the Black Sheep Brewery, is 10 minutes’ drive and Richmond with its Norman castle, Georgian architecture and thriving theatre is also easily accessible. You will be spoiled for choice when it comes to activities in the area. It is a great location for walking or cycling, lying between the South Downs Way and Monarchs Way within the South Downs. There are many sites of historic or natural interest to visit, including the historic town of Arundel, Chactonbury and Cissbury Rings and the Weald and Downland Museum. Beaches and water sports are nearby at Worthing, Shoresham-by-sea, Ferring and Littlehampton, and shops and restaurants can be found locally in the village of Findon or further afield in Brighton or Horsham.

Set on the banks of the River Severn, Shrewsbury is one of the country’s most picturesque medieval towns. Dotted with flowers and parks, and renowned for the historic Shrewsbury Abbey and Castle, this bustling town is home to a lively independent shopping scene, restaurants, bars and some unforgettable days out. Ludlow is a thriving medieval market town in Shropshire and an architectural gem with a lively community feel, busy with events and festivals throughout the year and just under an hour away.
