This holiday cottage is spacious, yet intimate, and commands beautiful views of the countryside surrounding the peaceful village of Sheldon, only 3 miles from the market town of Bakewell. The oldest part of the cottage dates from 1800 and has been converted skilfully into a living room with tasteful furnishings, original beams, exposed stone walls and a large fireplace with a multi-fuel burner. There is a large dining area adjacent to the living room and a kitchen which leads into a south-facing conservatory, ideal for breakfast and relaxing. There is a downstairs toilet and utility area. Upstairs has three large double bedrooms (two with en-suite showers) and a bathroom. One of the bedrooms has a 6ft zip and link bed which can be used as a double bed or two single beds. The cottage has Sky TV and wi-fi internet access. Only a few steps from the main cottage is a games room and studio apartment. The large, heated games room has a pool table and table tennis table as well as a drying room for wet clothes and boots. Above the games room is the studio with sitting room and a double bedroom with en-suite. The sitting room has a sofa bed (for alternative sleeping only) and a TV. The cottage stands in an enclosed garden which has driveway parking for four vehicles, flower beds and two lawns. The larger lawn overlooks the nearby fields and hills, and is ideal for ball games. It adjoins a stone-flagged patio area with a built-in barbecue and outside table and chairs. Sheldon has a pub close to the cottage which is friendly and provides good food. The village is within easy reach of Bakewell and Ashford-on-the-Water, and is an excellent starting point for walking, exploring the countryside and visiting Chatsworth, Haddon Hall, The Heights of Abraham in Matlock Bath, the caves around Castleton and many other attractions in the Peak District. Woodside View is in the picturesque village of Longnor which is in the heart of the Peak District.
Sleeping up to seven guests in three bedrooms, the master having an en-suite. With an open fire in the living room, south facing garden and patio area with outdoor seating to enjoy the views. There is ample off-road parking at the front of the property. Longnor village has everything for you to enjoy your stay.
There is a local pub within a mile which serves real ale and good food. There is a well-stocked licensed general store, a post office which sells wonderful breads and preserves. Longnor has a fish and chip shop and a small, but delightful childrens park Woodside View is a haven for walkers and cyclists to explore the Tissington and High Peak cycle tracks.
Nearby is Buxton with its eventful Opera House, the Crescent Hotel which was recently opened boasting a 5-star spa and the pavilion Gardens, Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall are both within easy reach, along with numerous National Trust Properties, Parks and Gardens, and delightful historic market towns and villages.

Nestling in the stunning scenery of Goyt Valley this wing of the owner’s farmhouse retains many of its original features and beams. This spacious holiday accommodation, situated on a working farm, is in an ideal place to explore this lovely area, and is also in a conservation area, with walks from the doorstep. It is 1 mile from Whaley Bridge where you can stroll along the tow path to the Buxworth Basin or take a narrow boat trip. Whaley Bridge also has a train station to help explore if you want to leave the car behind. You could spend a day in Manchester and take in a show for the evening. 6½ miles away is the famous spa town of Buxton which also boasts an opera house and Pavilion Gardens. Book a day in the Dome Spa to relax or travel a little further and visit Chatsworth House and its amazing gardens and estate. Medieval Haddon Hall and the old market town of Bakewell is a must and you can travel through Winnets Pass to the charming village of Castleton with its famous caves where the Blue John stone is mined. Take a tour by boat through these caves and learn about the history of the people and how they mined them. Matlock Bath and Alton Towers make great days out for families. There are plenty of activities to enjoy locally including inhouse clay pigeon shooting lessons (at cost, by arrangement with owner) and there is also golf and horse riding located within 5 miles of the property. This spacious property has a panoramic view of the surrounding countryside and is attached to the owner’s house located on a working farm close to the pretty village of Hartington. The property has been tastefully decorated and furnished with many modern day appliances, yet still retains some original features of this converted barn. Bradley Hall, built in 1774, has retained many of its original features including fireplaces, flagstone and wooden floors, mullion windows and shutters. The ground floor comprises a kitchen/pantry with a gas range cooker and the dining room has a dining table to seat eight comfortably. A south-facing garden completes this lovely historic property, and also makes the ideal place for relaxing with a glass of wine or al-fresco dining in the warm, balmy summer evenings, since there also an outdoor table seating eight guests where you can dine in style. There is also a decked area complete with 8-seater hot tub and fire pit/pizza oven.
The village is ringed by rocks and tors and is set in one the of the most stunning parts of the Peak District, with two excellent pubs. Fantastic walking can be found from the doorstep and for nature lovers, there are great spots for birdwatching in the surrounding areas. For days out, the magnificent stately homes, including the beautiful Chatsworth House (8 miles) and Haddon Hall (4 miles) are an absolute must see, whilst a little further afield, but well worth a visit is Hardwick Hall (National Trust). For water sport enthusiasts, Carsington Water is within easy reach, with sailing, wind-surfing and canoeing all available.

Crawshaw Cottage is a modern and fresh holiday let, located within one of Buxton’s villages, Harpur Hill. As you arrive you will see how surrounded by countryside you are, and you can step into the fields from the doorstep.
On the ground floor of Crawshaw Cottage is an open-plan kitchen and diner with patio doors backing onto the lawned garden. The kitchen has everything in place for you to prepare a delicious meal which can be enjoyed around the dining room table, and there is also a sofa area here with a small TV. The sitting room offers ample seating to relax and enjoy a series or film on the Smart TV, a toilet is also available on the ground floor.
Upstairs are three bedrooms, the master is a kingsize bed with TV and an en-suite shower room, the second bedroom is made up of two twin beds which can be linked together to make a super-kingsize bed if requested, the third bedroom is a small room and only has a bunk bed with 4ft double on the bottom bunk and single bed on top. There is also a family bathroom with a shower over the bath. Outside is a private garden which is enclosed and has garden furniture. You also have access to the garage where you can store bikes/luggage, and the driveway provides parking for one car but there is ample street parking directly outside as well.
Buxton has a lot to offer for holiday makers, there are countless walking routes close by such as Solomans Temple or hop in the car to Tissington or High Peak trail. Castleton is a short drive where you can walk or explore the caverns or take a trip to Chatsworth House. Buxton town centre has many delicious restaurants, pubs and bars as well as independent cafés, a 5* spa plus the opera house with shows on weekly. Alton Towers is a short 45 minute drive away. There is something for all the family in this great area of the Peak District. Pub within 1 mile.

Coach House is situated in the heart of this popular Derbyshire village, near to the market town of Bakewell and home to the most photographed bridge in Britain which crosses the river Wye. There is plenty to experience and explore all within walking distance, so you can park the car and enjoy your break away at a more leisurely pace.
Here you are within walking distance of the village shop, tearoom and a friendly pub serving great food. For busy days out, the town of Bakewell is just over a mile away with Buxton being a little further. The historic houses of Chatsworth and Haddon Hall are only a short drive away too and are well worth a visit.
As you arrive down the private driveway of the Coach House, you will find ample parking for your cars, alongside a groomed, lawned garden and patio area. On the ground floor is an open plan kitchen and dining area offering the ideal place to unwind after a busy day, whilst the kitchen offers all the appliances you should require to rustle up a good breakfast before your fun-filled day. The living area is generous in size with ample seating and a TV, and there is a downstairs toilet. On the first floor are four comfortable bedrooms comprising a king, two doubles and a single, along with two bathrooms, one with a cubicle shower and separate bath and the second with a cubicle shower. This is a great base not only for its location but also for comfort and relaxation.

Throwley Cottage has a delightful location in a very rural area, a great spot for some peace and quiet and not to be disturbed. As you arrive there is ample parking and you are greeted by the vast fields that surround this home. The property itself is very traditional with original features and space. On the ground floor is the fully equipped kitchen with everything you need to cook your favourite meals during your stay with a dining table to seat all guests, there is also a back door leading out to the rear garden. The living room has comfortable seating, a TV and an open fire. There is also a shower room located on the ground floor.
Upstairs there are three bedrooms, made up of a double, a twin and lastly a double bed and single bed in the third bedroom. All rooms have a homely feel to them and have stunning views across the Peak District landscape. There is also a family bathroom on the first floor with a bath and shower attachment. Outside within the fenced garden the kids can run free, play garden games or let the dogs enjoy the space this property offers. There is a bike rack too for you to store your bicycles while you aren’t on the trails.
Throwley Cottage is located near Ilam, Ashbourne, just a short distance from Dovedale and 15 minutes from Alton Towers theme park. The Peak District National Park has fantastic access to popular walking and cycling trails such as the Manifold Valley and the Tissington Trail. Pub and restaurant 3¾ miles.

Rock Mews is located just a short walk up from Bakewell town centre, within easy reach of shops, bars, cafés and restaurants. There are magnificent views across the market town of Bakewell from all areas of the garden, and Rock Mews provides the perfect base within this popular Peak District town. From the town you can get onto the Monsal Trail, which is great for cycling as well as walking. If you haven’t got any bikes, bike hiring is available on the trail at Hassop café. Neighbouring towns such as Buxton and Matlock are lovely places to visit and explore, both offering their own independent characters, and of course not to be missed are nearby Chatsworth House and Gardens and Haddon Hall, both within 5 minutes’ drive of Bakewell.

Silkstone Crescent is a four bedroom detached property located in this sought after development. It offers easy and modern living perfect as a base for you and your family to enjoy the Peaks. This holiday home is located a short drive from Buxton’s town centre, in the village of Harpur Hill, which has a shop, chip shop, good pub serving home made food and great ales and a convenient trail route for a brisk 45 minute walk. Buxton’s town centre has a variety of restaurants serving different cuisines, independent shops and cafés plus it is home to Buxton’s Opera House with shows on weekly, and the Pavillion Gardens which is lovely to walk around in the afternoon. Further afield you can visit Castleton and check out the caverns by boat, explore other towns such as Ashbourne, Bakewell and Matlock, visit Chatsworth House and soak in some history or take a stroll on the nearest well known route, the High Peak trail which has pubs and ice cream stops en route.
