These bespoke, hand-built shepherd huts provide the perfect getaway for those looking for a great mix of glamping and contemporary facilities. The huts themselves have been designed to offer Romani-caravan style living in that all you will find inside is a beautifully appointed bedroom with a full-size double bed and a wardrobe. Don’t be fooled though, as these pretty little huts offer far more room than a traditional Romani-style caravan and make for a lovely space to relax and unwind. Each of these charming properties comes with access to a shared building housing individual private high-end bathrooms for each of the two units and a well-equipped shared kitchen and dining room. Choose Hedge Betty (the Norfolk slang for a Hedge Sparrow) and enjoy your own hot tub.
You can also bring your two dogs along to this hut, which is beautifully decorated in cool greys. Or choose Jill Hoot (UK36796) (that’s Norfolk for an owl!) which is pet free and therefore perfect for those with allergies and is decorated in a pretty beach-hut blue. Both huts have seating areas in the shared grounds and there is a shared fire pit perfect for toasting marshmallows too. The whole site is so private and secluded that there is very little light pollution, meaning that you will see a sky full of stars laid out like a sparkling blanket above you every night. It also offers daytime views across rolling fields and the chance to get close to nature as you will often find yourself sharing your space with local wildlife such as deer, pheasants and wild rabbits. There are even woodpeckers and buzzards around too, adding to the magic of this truly unique site.

These stylish, detached, contemporary pods enjoy an idyllic, elevated location in the small village of Llanelidan with far reaching, Welsh countryside views. Set on a working sheep farm, they benefit from an open-plan living space and walk-in shower providing everything you need for a comfortable glamping experience. The comfortable bedroom area features a double bed with sumptuous bedding, giving you a fabulously refreshing night’s sleep; the separate bunk room is perfect for children. The well-equipped kitchen will provide you with everything you need to create a traditional Welsh breakfast ready to take on the day ahead - try visiting the local Rhug Estate for your fresh local milk, bread, and fresh meats. Before you retire at the end of the day, relax on your patio to take in the spectacular views as the sun dips behind the mountains or wake early to have a dip in your private hot tub before the start of a brand-new day of adventure.
This remote spot is accessed via a rough track and is the perfect place to base yourself and enjoy all the attractions the area has to offer. In under an hour’s drive in one direction you have everything visitors have come to expect from the adventure capital of Europe. Ride on the train from Llanberis to the summit of Snowdon, go surfing, abseiling, climbing or enjoy one of hundreds of suggested walks in this area of stunning beauty. The Snowdonia National Park can be reached within a 40-minute drive. In under an hour in the opposite direction is the North Wales coast and its spectacular beaches. For those wishing to stay closer, you will find the historic market towns of Ruthin and Denbigh, Bala, Corwen and the world-famous Llangollen railway and canal within 15 miles, boasting shops, cafés and local art and craft shops. The National Trust’s Gaol in Ruthin, Chirk Castle, and craft centre, are all perfect for a family day out.

The Smithy glamping pods are fully equipped newly built lodges in the semi-rural area of Dainton, outside of Newton abbot. Situated on the owners smallholding and with beautiful countryside views. The owners are also happy to give guided tours where they are able.
As you enter the lodge through the French doors, you find yourself in the open kitchen/living/dining area. The kitchen is fully equipped with electric oven, electric hob and fridge/freezer. The living/dining area benefits from dining table and chairs, a sofa bed as additional sleeping and a TV. The bedroom contains a kingsize bed with wall mounted TV and en-suite shower room. The lodge has a lovely small decked and patio area to the front where guests can sit out and relax on the two zero-gravity garden chairs, looking out across the fields with various animals
There are many local restaurants with great food located relatively nearby, including pubs with their famous 2 in 1 pies. Whether you are wanting to visit the area for the countryside walks or the stunning coastal walks and beaches nearby, these peaceful retreats will be a great base to start to explore the English Riviera and South Hams with all it has to offer.
