Meadow Cottage is a coastal, detached holiday cottage which lies in a peaceful valley location in the small hamlet of Nancherrow and Tregeseal, just ¼ mile from the market town centre of St Just. Meadow Cottage provides an ideal base and easy access for small families and couples looking to explore rugged coastal paths, moorland with an ancient stone circle, beaches and the area’s mining history. Locally the area offers fishing trips, sailing, windsurfing, kite-surfing, cycle hire, walking, bird watching and rich wildlife. Cape Cornwall is just a short drive and offers stunning scenery and views of Lands End and the Scilly Isles, and the coastal path walk from Cape Cornwall to Pendeen Lighthouse. The area is a designated UNESCO World Heritage site with Geevor Tin Mine and Museum open to the public. Further within the area there are some magnificent engine houses, including the famous Crown Mines. You will be perfectly located for exploring Sennen’s beautiful long white sandy beach, popular with surfers, and Lands End with its visitor’s centre for one of Britain’s best loved landmarks. Further attractions include, the famous Minack Theatre that is cut into the cliff face with the ocean as its backdrop and the historical town of Marazion where St Michael’s Mount rises from the sea. Stroll around the picturesque harbour and village of Mousehole and buy fresh fish from the busy working harbour of Newlyn. Discover Penzance with its promenade, open air lido, art galleries, craft shops and eateries. The owners offer their guests a free daily session with their dog at Hunsdale Fields. Both 3-acre and 5-acre fields are fully enclosed, where each customer has the exclusive use to let their dog exercise off the lead, without the distractions of other dogs or their owners.

This superbly restored, former estate stone cottage offers excellent terraced holiday accommodation in the heart of the village of Brantingham opposite the picturesque village pond and green. It has modern internal features, including high speed fibre broadband, a bespoke kitchen, feature brick barbecue, patio furniture and sun umbrella for an al fresco meal, wood burning stove and an oak staircase, leading to galleried landing with a desk and views of the village green. It has quality oak furniture, and furnishings created with the help of an interior designer. The property also has special lighting, underfloor heating downstairs and in the bathroom, and provides a lovely base to explore the area from or simply relax in. Luxury toiletries, bathrobes and bed linen are also provided. It benefits from a south-facing garden with built-in barbecue and it is only a short walk to the village pub and restaurant. On arrival, guests will receive a hamper of local produce to help them settle in. At Christmas time, it is decorated for that festive cheer.
You might never want to leave the village, but if you do, there is plenty to do in the local area, including Beverley with its cobbled streets, racecourse, minster and courtyards. Hull is only 12 miles away, with its 2017 City of Culture status, museums, Humber Bridge, Hull Truck Theatre and The Deep aquarium. Hull University is only 13 miles away, making Pond View Cottage ideal for parents visiting their children, taster weeks and graduation. Further afield there is Burton Constable Hall, Castle Howard, North York Moors and Xscape Yorkshire (which boasts the country’s biggest real snow slope). York, with its minster, Shambles, museums, nearby Yorkshire Air Museum and boat trips, is 28 miles away. Cyclists and walkers will love the rolling hills and many established walks, including the Yorkshire Wolds Way and Coast to Coast cycle route, which are accessed from outside the door. Situated in the hamlet of Newton on the outskirts of Sturminster Newton, between the historic towns of Sherborne and Blandford, and just south of Shaftsbury, they are an excellent holiday base to explore the rolling countryside of Dorset and the south coast. There are many historic houses within easy driving, in particular Stourhead House and Gardens (National Trust), Kingston Lacey (National Trust), Athelhampton, Sherborne Castle and Fiddleford Manor (English Heritage), or one can explore the delightful Dorset south coast between Weymouth and Bournemouth, taking in Lulworth Cove, Swanage and Poole with their many attractions. Weymouth with its beach, fishing, windsurfing, yachting and Sea Life Centre is well worth a visit, perhaps calling in at the Bovington Tank Museum and Monkey World near Wool.
