Located within the pretty village of Sticklepath at Dartmoor National Park in West Devon, this charming two-bedroom country cottage comfortably accommodates up to four guests. Walk out the front door straight into the Devon countryside.
This beautiful cottage is well furnished throughout and offers a welcoming open plan living space on the ground floor in which you can get cosy in front of the wood burner, or sit around the dining table with a delicious meal that has been cooked in the well-equipped kitchen. The kitchen is fitted with all the key appliances such as an electric oven, electric hob, microwave, slimline dishwasher, washing machine, fridge/ freezer, and a Nespresso coffee pod machine.
With your own patio area at the back of the cottage with a table and chairs and a charcoal barbeque, you can sit and soak up those holiday feelings with a glass of your favourite tipple. There is also a handy storage shed for bicycles. Muddy and exhausted dogs can be washed off comfortably in the courtyard using the hose with outdoor hot and cold water taps. Relax and unwind in front of the cosy woodburning stove.
Head upstairs to two comfortable bedrooms, both offering zip and link king-size beds which can be split into two 2ft 6in singles on request.

Surrounded by some of the country’s most beautiful landscapes, with Dartmoor and the lovely rolling hills of Devon on your doorstep, Barwick is also within easy reach of the coast. This spacious property has the benefit of a large open plan living space downstairs and an additional sitting room upstairs, complete with a balcony so you can take in the glorious countryside views.
Barwick sits on the edge of the lovely village of Exbourne with an inn serving meals and local ales, an eco-friendly, underground shop, post office and historic church. Approximately 100 yards from the property, there is a lovely playpark for the children to enjoy. The local town has a cinema, supermarkets, castle, museum and a variety of restaurants. The property is just 6 miles from the breathtaking Dartmoor National Park, where you can see Dartmoor ponies, beautiful landscapes, quaint villages, castles, culture, and an altogether slower pace of life. With views of the sea as you approach this holiday property, Honeysuckle Bay Cottage is one half of a 17th-century former public house, which has been tastefully decorated and furnished offering spacious accommodation. This semi-detached house has views across Torbay from upstairs, with a balcony in the main bedroom. Close by are Napoleonic forts, which are now part of the Berry Head Nature Reserve, and can be visited at any time. Shoalstone Pool, an outdoor saltwater pool, is an Art Deco icon of the South Devon coastline, and is just ¼ mile away.

Visit Greenway House and Gardens, Agatha Christie’s stately home, or Dartmoor, with its tors and quaint villages. Located just outside the village of Beaford, there is also a local pub within walking distance.
North Devon has plenty to see and do, and is home to some of the best beaches in the country including Woolacombe and Saunton. The nearest beach is at Instow and is ideal for children or just a great place to walk off life’s stresses, and then enjoy a meal or drink at one of the pubs and restaurants along the front. The town of Great Torrington is only a short drive away and has most amenities you may require. The larger regional town of Barnstaple has a busy high street, the Pannier Market and famous Butchers Row. There are numerous places of interest close by including the RHS gardens at Rosemoor, Dartington Crystal and the historic fishing village at Clovelly. For the younger ones a visit to the Big Sheep or Milky Way Adventure Parks is a good option. There is walking on Dartmoor or hire a bike and cycle the Tarka Trail, and there is also golf and fishing available locally.

These properties are are situated in 10½ acres of unspoilt natural grounds on the edge of Dartmoor. All three barn conversions are set in a row in a courtyard setting, close to the owner’s home, smallholding and 5-pitch certified caravan site. Walkers can explore Dartmoor, spot wild ponies, cross ancient stone bridges spanning the River Dart, and admire the Tors. Visit Castle Drogo, Lydford Gorge, Buckfast Abbey, Torbay, Kingswear and Dartmouth Castles. Exeter, with its stunning cathedral, is a short drive. The cottages lie just a short distance from some of south Devon’s finest beaches and tourist attractions, including the historic town of Totnes which is just 15 minutes away and sits on the River Dart with cruises down river to Greenway and Dartmouth. A cosmopolitan town, Totnes, 7 miles away, has a vast array of independent shops, weekly markets, galleries, leisure centre and many lovely restaurants, bistros and cafés. The seaside towns of Paignton and Torquay are 40 minutes’ drive, and it is just a 15-minute drive to the yachting haven of Dartmouth, and the coastline between Dartmouth and Kingsbridge, both 7 miles away, has many stunning beaches, hidden coves and fantastic coastal walks.

Guests of these cottages can also enjoy a range of on-site facilities suitable for all the family, including a heated indoor swimming pool (available via a booking system) with a private changing room and shower. There is a large games room set over two floors, including a fitness room with a cross trainer, treadmill, rowing machine and exercise bike. The top floor of the games room has a full-size American pool table, big sofa and Sky TV. The bottom floor has table tennis and table football. On-site there is also a laundry and ironing room. If you are looking for adventure and an adrenalin rush, then Wheeldon Farm Cottages will not disappoint. The Wheeldon Off-Road Centre, adjacent to the cottages, boasts a purpose-built, 30,000 square foot indoor arena (split in separate halves for motorbikes and bicycles) and junior training circuit, and is the ideal year-round venue for the whole family to learn to ride a motorcycle in a fun and controlled environment. Discounted rates are available for children and adults during the school holidays (booking by arrangement and on arrival), providing children and adults with the opportunity to experience the ultimate, two-wheel off-road adventure for the first time. The instructors at Wheeldon Farm are all ACU accredited and will guide the children through their paces every step of the way. For some activities, all the kit, clothing, boots, gloves, helmets and fun bikes are provided. All that’s needed is the enthusiasm to have a great deal of fun! In addition to all the motorbike fun, a range of other activities can also be organised locally, including horse riding, golf, go-karting and trout and carp fishing. Also, clay pigeon shooting, air rifle and archery are available - these are run by a fully qualified instructor and all equipment is provided. The activities run on a Monday, Thursday and Sunday.
