This large detached property is ideally located just 9 miles from Llandeilo, perfect for larger families or groups of friends alike. Vijay Gardens comprises of a spacious living room with a 22ft projector screen TV and several sofas, kitchen area, utility room with two washing machines and two tumble dryers, and a large dining room with plenty of seating for everyone. There is a double bedroom on the ground floor and on the first floor there are 5 further bedrooms, all with en-suite facilities.
There is a lovely lawned garden, great for children and pets to play in, with garden furniture and a large BBQ, ideal for those warmer days. Isla’s Cottage is a cosy 18th-century Welsh cottage situated in the quaint village of Ystradgynlais, Swansea Valley. It’s central location is ideal for visiting the Gower Peninsula with its award winning beaches, the Brecon Beacons National Park and other local attractions. Ideal for couples and families. The cottage is a short walk from the village centre where there are numerous cafés, bars, restaurants and lovely shops. The cottage has a multi-fuel burner, perfect for a cosy night in after a day of walking/activities. Other facilities include an enclosed garden with patio area, perfect for your canine companions.
The cottage is full of character, and downstairs you will find a bathroom with shower over P-shaped bath, a good sized kitchen with gas hob, electric oven and washing machine. The kitchen leads to an enclosed garden with seating and a bike store, and upstairs there is one double and one single bedroom.
There is lots to do in this area, and with being centrally based, you can be on the beach in 40 minutes or in the mountains in 30 minutes. There are lots of walks to be found near the property, great for taking your four-legged friends. Horse riding is available a short drive from the property, and the award winning Dan yr Ogof show caves is great day out for adults and kids alike. The town of Ystradgynlais is a short walk from the property, where an abundance of restaurants, shops and pubs can be found. Shop ½ mile. Pub and restaurant ½ mile.

At the end of a busy day, come back and relax in the lovely enclosed garden to the rear of the property and watch the sun go down.
If it is walks you are looking for then there are plenty of sites to visit in this area. Head down to the Four Waterfalls in Ystradfellte and take in the natural beauty of the Welsh land and see the water cascading over the rocks. The Groom’s Room has been restored to a good standard and offers great accommodation for couples, small families or friends alike, with an open plan living space with patio doors overlooking the paddock and surrounding countryside. It is situated on the owner’s stud farm and the property overlooks a paddock with the owner’s pet sheep and horses in. There is a paddock to exercise your dogs in and you can also bring your own horses as there is plenty of stabling here with lots of places to hack out (stabling is at cost, by direct arrangement with owners).
There is plenty to do in the area whether you are walking or cycling. BikePark Wales is approximately 8 miles from the property and hosts some of the best mountain biking routes in the world. For those who enjoy walking then Garwnant Visitors Centre in the Brecon Beacons is a great place to take the kids - plenty of walks to be had and a great play park. Dare Valley Park is a great place for taking in the nature and listening to the birds with 500 acres of pond dipping. The property is also within a short distance of the Ystradfellte waterfalls and Penyfan. If you would like to spend an afternoon shopping, then the retail park at Cyfarthfar has plenty of shops for you to peruse. If you want to leave the car behind, the city of Cardiff is easily accessible by train from Aberdare for a day out. For those looking for watersports or a trip to the beach, Barry Island is 25 miles from the property. Whatever you decide to do this converted stables is greatly placed for all activites. This lovely cottage is right on the edge of the Brecon Beacons in Waterfall Country with access from the doorstep directly into the countryside. Visiting Sgwd Yr Eira Waterfall is a fantastic way to spend a day exploring with or without your pets, with fabulous views en-route of the open countryside, be sure to take a jacket as you can walk right behind the waterfall. Pen y Fan, the highest mountain in South Wales is less than a 30-minute drive from the property. En-route you can pop into the Penderyn distillery to see how award-winning whisky and gin is produced, you could also follow on to the historic town of Brecon with its cathedral and Regimental Museum of The Royal Welsh, or simply have a wander around the art gallery and enjoy some coffee and cake.
For those adrenaline junkies looking for some excitement, Bike Park Wales is approximately a 30-minute drive north from the property and Afan Forest Mountain Bike Trails are 30-minutes south with masses of trails for mountain bike enthusiasts. If you tire of the mountains you are never far from the sea either with Aberavon Beach less than 20 miles away and the famous Gower Peninsula only 30 miles away. The National Show Caves for Wales are a short drive from the property and make a fantastic day out with three of the largest caves to experience, the kids will also love the dinosaur feature they have. Almost directly across the road you will find Craig Y Nos Castle and the attached country park which was formally owned by opera signer Adelina Patti. If you are looking for some retail therapy the property is perfectly located only 13 miles from the historic market town of Neath and 20 miles from Swansea, both of which have traditional indoor markets. Cardiff is also easily reachable within an hours drive, or by train from Neath station. The cottage is within easy walking distance of the village center with it’s choice of four welcoming public houses serving hot meals. This fabulous property is nestled within the Brecon Beacons National Park, next to Llwyn-on reservoir, which lies in 150 acres of land and is one of the biggest of the Taffs reservoirs. Great walks can be had around the reservoir, and for those with an interest in fishing, it is stocked with rainbow trout (license to be purchased locally). If you are looking to explore the surrounding area, this property is just a few miles from Pen Y Fan and Corn Du, Pen Y Fan being the highest peak in Wales, standing at 873 metres above sea level. There is an abundance of walks to be had in the Brecon Beacons National Park, but no need to worry if it’s raining as umbrellas with lights are provided at the cottage! If its cycling you’re interested in, then Bike Park Wales is roughly 6 miles from the property, boasting several trails from beginners to proline. The property also has a bike store for those bringing bicycles (please bring your own bike lock).
The nearest village is Cefn Coed, which is approximately 2 miles from the property, and there are plenty of convenience stores, restaurants and pubs, and there is also a golf course here. Merthyr Tydfil is a 10-minute drive from the property and has all the amenities you could need, plenty of shops, restaurants, bars. The historic market town of Brecon is a 25-minute drive away, Cardiff is a 40-minute drive and Swansea is a 50-minute drive. Ty Nant

Set in an elevated position within the Brecon Beacons National Park, this charming detached conversion of a 19th-century barn enjoys spectacular views down the valley.
