Former chapel, stone built in 1867, now a very attractive quirky detached holiday cottage with much character, on a minor road junction in the village of Pontsticill, within the Brecon Beacons National Park. The property is complete with jukeboxes and a pin ball machine. The surrounding area is peaceful, scenic, varied with mountains, valleys, forests and open hillside ideal for walkers. Within a few miles are Pontsticill, Pentwyn, Neaudd reservoirs, sailing, fishing, the Brecon Beacons steam railway and Tranquil Canal. Shop 1 mile, pub 100 yards.

Tegfan is a warm and welcoming bungalow in the village of Llangenny, a short drive from the picturesque town of Crickhowell, nestling in the wonderful Usk Valley. Tegfan offers plenty of space for a family or group of friends and is all on one level. As you enter through the lovely conservatory, you will undoubtedly be struck by the amazing views of the Black Mountains; the eastern range of the Brecon Beacons National Park. There is also gorgeous view from the open plan kitchen and living room, and of course the spacious garden. The owner, who lives nearby, has thoughtfully furnished and equipped the bungalow, and it offers spacious accommodation, with three bedrooms, a bathroom and additional walk in wet room, ideal for anyone less mobile.
Within the nearby Georgian town of Crickhowell, you will find a high street reflecting the character of a long lost era. John Evans described it as the "Glittering Jewel of the Vale" in his 19th-century book, ’The Garden of Wales’. Here, there are friendly independent shops and businesses selling local produce and products. There is also a wide selection of places to eat, from pubs and cafés to restaurants and a bistro. The remains of a 13th-century castle still stand in the town, whilst the Iron Age hillfort of Crug Hywel, better known as Table Mountain, looks down upon the town from the flanks of Pen Cerrig-calch to the north. The Beacons Way, which passes through the town, will take you steeply up there, although there plenty of more leisurely walks available, including beside the River Usk or along the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal in nearby Llangattock. The Crickhowell Walking Festival has become very well-established in recent years, or you might also want to catch the town’s Dragon Festival or the Green Man Music Festival in the Brecon Beacons.
There are events and activities in the area all year round, including festivals of food and drink, jazz and stargazing (the Beacons are an International Dark Skies Reserve). Adrenalin packed adventures nearby include caving, climbing, paragliding, cycling, horse riding and boating on Llangorse lake. A 30-minute drive will bring you to the Big Pit National Coal Museum, where you can go underground as the coalminers did, or visit the dinosaurs and show caves at Dan-yr-Ogof.
Check out the lovely towns of Brecon, Abergavenny, Monmouth and Usk, or visit Wales’ capital, Cardiff, which is an easy 60-minute drive. The city offers a startling range of unique attractions, top class entertainment and quality shopping. Fans of the cult show will enjoy a visit to the Dr Who Experience. This gorgeous, semi-detached cottage, situated in the village of Llangattock, overlooking the River Usk, has been restored to a high standard with your comfort in mind. The ground floor of the property compromises a large kitchen and an open plan living/dining room with a wood burner. Upstairs you will find three lovingly furnished bedrooms, one with the added benefit of en-suite facilities, as well as a family bathroom. The outside of the property has an enclosed garden with lawned area, as well as a patio area complete with a private Jacuzzi. There is also a barbecue and for those who enjoy cooking there is a pizza oven. Adjacent to the garden you will find a garage to store bikes and any outdoor equipment. This is also used as a games room and features a table tennis table, pool table and dart board and two arcade games. There is a hot outdoor shower near the hot tub.
Honeycott lies within walking distance of the historic town of Crickhowell, named the 2019 ’best place to live in Wales’ by the Sunday Times, and also ’best high street in Britain’ 2018. There is an array of amenities there including boutiques, coffee shops and restaurants. For those who enjoy music festivals, Crickhowell is home to the Green Man during August. The town of Abergavenny is 6 miles away and there you will find some fine dining restaurants, including the Michelin-starred Walnut Tree Inn and The Hardwick Restaurant owned by chef Stephen Terry. The town is host to the annual food festival in September. Brecon is just 14 miles away from Honeycott and has lots of places of interest to visit such as the Welsh Regimental Museum and Brecon Cathedral, and it is also home to a jazz festival every August. For those wanting to explore the area on foot, Pen Y Fan, South Wales’ highest peak, offers great opportunities. Sugar Loaf Mountain also nearby and is the southernmost of the peaks in the Black Mountain Range. This lovely cottage is right on the edge of the Brecon Beacons in Waterfall Country with access from the doorstep directly into the countryside. Visiting Sgwd Yr Eira Waterfall is a fantastic way to spend a day exploring with or without your pets, with fabulous views en-route of the open countryside, be sure to take a jacket as you can walk right behind the waterfall. Pen y Fan, the highest mountain in South Wales is less than a 30-minute drive from the property. En-route you can pop into the Penderyn distillery to see how award-winning whisky and gin is produced, you could also follow on to the historic town of Brecon with its cathedral and Regimental Museum of The Royal Welsh, or simply have a wander around the art gallery and enjoy some coffee and cake.
For those adrenaline junkies looking for some excitement, Bike Park Wales is approximately a 30-minute drive north from the property and Afan Forest Mountain Bike Trails are 30-minutes south with masses of trails for mountain bike enthusiasts. If you tire of the mountains you are never far from the sea either with Aberavon Beach less than 20 miles away and the famous Gower Peninsula only 30 miles away. The National Show Caves for Wales are a short drive from the property and make a fantastic day out with three of the largest caves to experience, the kids will also love the dinosaur feature they have. Almost directly across the road you will find Craig Y Nos Castle and the attached country park which was formally owned by opera signer Adelina Patti. If you are looking for some retail therapy the property is perfectly located only 13 miles from the historic market town of Neath and 20 miles from Swansea, both of which have traditional indoor markets. Cardiff is also easily reachable within an hours drive, or by train from Neath station. The cottage is within easy walking distance of the village center with it’s choice of four welcoming public houses serving hot meals. Set in an elevated position within the Brecon Beacons National Park, this charming detached conversion of a 19th-century barn enjoys spectacular views down the valley. Dardy Cottage has been renovated to a very good standard in 2020 and is located in the village of Dardy. The historic town of Crickhowell is 15 minutes’ walk, (¾ miles) from Dardy Cottage. The village of Llangattock is just 5 minutes’ walk, and has several pubs offering food and an excellent children’s playground recently upgraded. Crickhowell was named in 2019 as the best place to live in Wales by the Sunday Times, and also best high street in Britain in 2018. There is an array of amenities there including independent boutiques, coffee shops, bookshops, groceries and restaurants. For those who enjoy music festivals, Crickhowell is home to the ’Green Man’ during August. This property is also perfect for anyone wanting to participate in the annual Crickhowell Walking Festival, in March.
The town of Abergavenny is 7 miles away and there you will find some fine dining restaurants, including a Michelin-starred restaurant. Abergavenny is also host to an annual food festival in September. The South Wales three peaks event Blorenge/Sugar Loaf and Skirrid in a day!) takes place in March. The "platinum challenge" starts from Crickhowell.

Dardy Cottage is close to the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal and the Usk Valley Walk National Trail, which run through the village, offering easy access on foot and bike to local attractions and Sustrans cycling routes. For cyclists we have secure storage in the garage.

This eco-conscious property consists of an open-plan living space with spacious kitchen-diner and island complete with beautiful oak ridge lantern from which you can look up and view the stars. Kitchen is well equipped and also has a dining table. Step down two steps into the living room with its with Smart TV, unlimited Wi-Fi and Netflix and double sofa bed with deluxe mattress. Please note if sleeping in the living area there are no blinds over the roof lantern in adjacent kitchen-diner, therefore light will come through in the early morning however it’s just perfect for lying in bed and stargazing in the world renowned Brecon Beacons Dark Sky Reserve. From the living area there are French doors leading on to the slate patio area of the garden. The boot/utility room has a washing machine and tumble dryer, microwave and Nespresso coffee machine. There is also a separate shower room with walk-in shower and heated towel rail. There are two bedrooms, one with a king size bed and Smart TV, and a twin room, both with their own en-suite bathrooms.

The outside space is just fabulous, with a large slate patio complete with luxury outdoor furniture overlooking Llandeilo and the River Towy and an enclosed grassed area. Up to two friendly dogs are welcome at the property, but please be aware that there are sheep and cows grazing opposite the property so it may be wise keeping them on a lead when not in your enclosed garden. There is off road parking which can be found at the side of the property.

The heart of Llandeilo is on your doorstep and the town holds various events throughout the year, including a music festival, jazz festival and the unique Festival of Senses in November. On the edge of the town why not visit the lovely National Trust Dinefwr Park and Gothic Newton House? A short but energetic walk across the famous King’s bridge and up the hill into the town which is renowned for its award-winning chocolate shop, gin bar, boutique shopping and elegant restaurants. Carmarthenshire is abundant with historical monuments, wonders of nature and fantastic beaches. Travel over breathtaking mountains and lose yourself in the solitude of the vast countryside. Within a few miles you can enjoy days out at Aberglasney House and Gardens and the National Botanical Gardens of Wales, with the largest single span glasshouse in the world.
Learn the rich history behind the beautiful 12th-century Dinefwr castle situated amongst a tranquil 800-acre park where wild deer roam free. For an adventurous day out, try walking the iconic ’Llyn-y-Fan-Fach’ (Lady of the Lake), which boasts fantastic views over the Brecon Beacons National Park amidst shimmering lakes and tumbling waterfalls. Guests can enjoy themselves fishing on the renowned River Towy, bird watching where red kites can often be seen hovering over Dinefwr Castle, walking, cycling or even a spot of golf or horse riding as these are both nearby. There are also beaches about 30 minutes away on the Carmarthenshire coast.

Perfect property for those looking to explore the Brecon Beacons national park, this lovely cottage is based in the village of Defynnog. The property comprises of living/dining room with Smart TV, snug with Smart TV, kitchen with electric cooker, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and microwave. On the first floor there are three bedrooms which include two double rooms, and a bunk bedroom, also with a bathroom including shower over the bath. Please note the garden is opposite the property over the road and is lawned and enclosed with garden furniture, on road parking.
There are two pubs in the village both serving food, including Sennybridge which is a mile away and has several pubs and grocery stores. Brecon is just 9 miles from the property; there is plenty to do in Brecon itself, with the Regimental Museum of the Royal Welsh, a short distance from the property, as well as a theatre and cathedral. If you fancy taking things at a slower pace, why not take a barge ride down the canal.
The town is also the home of the Brecon Jazz Festival in the summer. The literary town of Hay-on-Wye is 26 miles away with its array of book shops. For those looking for some great trails then Bike Park Wales is 18 miles away and Zip World is 22 miles away. Pub and shops within 1 mile.

Highfield Bungalow has been set up to comfortably sleep up to 6 guests. There are three bedrooms all with TV’s and ample storage, two of the rooms have king size beds and one is set up with twin single beds. The open plan L shaped living space is perfect for socialising and enjoying quality time together. Enjoy a cosy movie night - the lounge area is set up with an ‘L’ shaped sofa, cuddle armchair, a log burner, and a wall mounted Smart TV. Cook and dine together - the kitchen dining area is spacious, with a modern kitchen, dining table and bifold doors out to the decking area. The decking area houses a table and chairs to seat six, charcoal BBQ, and a hot tub!
Located on the edge of the Brecon Beacons, you can take a hike in the Welsh hills from the top of the road, then head back for a soak in the hot tub, or head down the road to Garnant where you’ll find local pubs and take aways to refuel! Further afield there are plenty of places to visit for a day out, the picturesque village of Llandeilo, National show caves of Wales - Dan Yr Ogof, and beautiful waterfall walks at Ystradfellte. In under an hour by car there are some of Wales’ most beautiful beaches and seaside towns or just over an hour will get you to Tenby – Wales’ most popular seaside town!
