    All lovingly converted to a very good standard and each maintains many of there original features, including beams, tiled and wooden floors. The Old Stable (ref UK31779) has been expertly restored from stable sides which feature in the open plan living area. This area also has a series of small handmade stained-glass windows set high up on the back wall, which throw light onto the first-floor corridor. They are a delight and depict a story of a working horse and her foal, so in keeping with this fabulous holiday home. On the first floor are four of the five en-suite bedrooms offering a mixture of twin and kingsize accommodation. The house bathroom is an absolute delight with a free-standing roll-top bath, tiled floors and Velux windows. The Old Barn (ref UKC998) has two bedrooms on the ground floor along with the family bathroom, and the third bedroom on the first floor. The horizon is 33 miles distant on a clear day. This detached home was built in 1993 from locally quarried stone blocks and has oil central heating and two log burning stoves. A garden room, also constructed from stone blocks is heated by electric oil radiator, and contains a sink unit, garden chairs, television with built in DVD player. The main feature of the room is a games table which can be used for either American pool, air hockey and table tennis. A lockable garage may be used for the storage of bikes. The garden, which overlooks a field immediately behind the house and towards the valley and bay, has two patio areas, one behind the house and the other next to the garden room. Both enjoy a sunny aspect for the majority of sunny days. Sheep graze in the field at certain times of the year and dog owners need to be aware that this is sheep country. There is a modern kitchen and a handy downstairs shower room. The second floor has an open plan landing with sofa looking out towards the moors.
    Denton House is situated within a few hundred yards of the Cleveland Way route, which is perfect for guests who enjoy walking. There is a path leading down to a beach from the clifftop, or alternative road access to the beach via a track 1.5 miles away. There is also the old railway line which ran through Ravenscar between Scarborough and Whitby until the 1960’s which serves as a mainly gentle cycle track for the family. The station platform, tunnel and bridges are still in place along the 21 mile line. The beach below the cliffs at Ravenscar can be accessed by footpath across the golf course or by the disused railway line. Vehicle access is by a scenic single track road leading down the valley to a sandy beach. The foreshore of Robin Hood’s Bay is very well known for ammonite fossils and searching for them can be good fun for children of all ages.
    The larger resorts of Whitby and Scarborough are just a short drive away. Whitby is a very busy working harbour and town, and is famous for the Dracula and Heartbeat locations and the exploits of Captainn Cook. Not forgetting award winning fish restaurants. Alternatively, Scarborough is a large Victorian seaside resort famous for its two bays, the North Bay being the quieter of the two. The long marine drive is over three miles of flat walking and is ideal for a pleasant evening stroll. Shop 8 miles, pub 2 miles and restaurant 500 yards.
