From the winding front path, a circular boot room reveals the entrance hall with a cosy reading corner and stairs to the first floor. Close by is the West Sussex Golf Club with golf courses at Goodwood and Cowdray. North Hurst makes a great base to enjoy any of these as it is within a 30-minute drive of them all.

Bognor Regis is one of the most popular seaside places to visit. With large expanses of sand at low tide and the 3-mile long promenade. There is lots to explore in this area of the South coast with the historic cities of Arundel, home of the stunning Arundel Castle and Gardens, take a break from sunbathing and swimming and head up to the glorious South Downs for a gentle stroll or a bike ride, enjoy live music from the bandstand in the charming grounds of Hotham Park. The very popular attractions at Glorious Goodwood and Fontwell Racecourse plus Worthing, Brighton and Portsmouth are an easy drive. Beach 220 yards.

As well as having the characterful fishing villages of Lybster, Helmsdale and Brora close by, the town of Wick is not far away and John O’Groats a little further with dramatic Duncansby Head well worth a visit. The drive across to Cape Wrath is sublime, and the off-the-beaten road via Altnaharra or Kinbrace is a true Highland highlight.
